The mountain community of Sapa is in Northwest Vietnam, at the northern terminus of the same Himalayan range I enjoyed so much in Sikkim, India. Cheiu and her husband own a clothing/motorbike rental/trekking tour shop and were my neighbors during my week-long stay at the $7 per night Sapa Star Hotel. Thean is her cute nephew.
