HouseWife and Mother from The Heart of Dixie. Friday, March 25, 2011. The vegetables were a different story. We started seeds in. S which sat on top of my washer and dryer, in the sunny laundry room. While the seeds did their "magic" by sprouting in to beautiful little plants the kids and I spent two weeks. We used a soil tester. Bubble hoeing down a thistle. Pop em' in the ground and water once or twice a week ( if it doesn't rain). They are super useful in the kitchen and medicine cabinet. We ate ourse...

http://ourpeaceofearth.blogspot.com/2013/04/my-homeschooling-ha-moment.html
One family's journey creating our own Peace of Earth. Sunday, April 14, 2013. My Homeschooling A-Ha Moment. I really struggle with curriculum. What should we be doing? What should Eli be learning? Am I leaving something out? STRESS, STRESS, STRESS! My a-ha moment came when I realized several things:. 1) I just LOVE the Montessori Materials. 2) I resonate with the Waldorf Rhythm of Learning. I do like having an outline to help keep us focused. Here's the general outline for next year. 13- 28 - PUMPKINS.

There's a Pickle in my life.: Minimizing
http://theresapickleinmylife.blogspot.com/2010/06/minimizing.html
There's a Pickle in my life. Tuesday, June 1, 2010. There's been a lot about no shampoo on blogs like I mentioned earlier. Many are using baking soda instead. Then there's been some posts about Dr Bronner's. Vinegar and water spray bottle- used to clean counters, stains, just kind of an every day cleaner type thing. Vinegar- almost everything, cleaner, laundry, etc etc. Baking soda- also used as a cleaner, deodorizer, laundry, and just recently for shampoo. So, now do I really need anything else? Im a fa...

There's a Pickle in my life.: January 2015
http://theresapickleinmylife.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
There's a Pickle in my life. Tuesday, January 20, 2015. One of my new years goals. Was to plan the homeschool week ahead of time. I found this sheet. To write down what I hope to accomplish. It's kinda cool to plan everything out so I can see what I'm going to do. It makes it more organized so that I'm not fumbling around when I say 'it's time to start school'. Last week was more "field trip week". We went to the fire station with a local homeschool group. Luke in the fire truck. We also had a park playd...

There's a Pickle in my life. Saturday, January 5, 2013. 19 Months (Dec 25th). Dear Sweet Taryn,. It's been a while since I updated about you. You are the sweetest little girl with quite the spunky personality. It has been utterly amazing to watch two kids grow up together and you to have such a different personality than your brother. When you run you have a bounce in your run. You are so active and you love following your brother around and are proud that you can go almost. As fast as he can. We went to...

Spitzer Family Blog: August 2010
http://jennybjzoescarlett.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
I recently altered my work schedule. Well, to be lucid – I recently gambled hard and volunteered a considerable pay-cut so I could focus on the rest of my life. You know, the one moving at express velocity without me as I sit at my desk counting money and printing reports. I have a Human Biology lecture at 5 on Monday's starting next week,. So I figured it would be good to take the entire day off with child. It will be nice to get back to the maddening and exhilarating world of academia. Not yesterday, b...
