We're also starting to wean him to just formula. 12hr ER shifts aren't helping matters for me and while my goal was to get to 6 months, 5 1/2 is pretty close. I am looking forward to less time in closets and break rooms with a machine, but there is a bit of sadness knowing that he's already getting older! Where did my little baby go? I've been up for the past 2 months even when he hasn't! And who wouldn't want more when they are this precious?

This has been a tough few days for me. after having a phone call from the Ob/Gyn's office about my blood work last visit, everything was great except my glucose screening test. It came back too high. Normal is. 200 is an automatic diagnosis of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). Unless you are using conservative values, which my Ob does. so anything 180 is of concern. Mine was 196. And today, I did just that. not wanting to wait for MY doctor...

So when Brady ran the bases at practice, so did the girls. But sometimes, they got in the way. And sometimes they were on the inside instead of the outside, leading to distractions. We now have updated our registries three times and still probably need to do it one more time as we make changes or new decisions about what we want, need, like, can afford and are willing to concede on adding to the list (ex= the diaper disposer. the Genie? There was a bout of buttered popcorn that made me feel gross after I ate it, but Greg didn't feel good from it either. So I chalk that up to us just not being used to eating heavily buttered popcorn. GREG, NICKY, BRADY, BAILEY, OLIVIA and ZOE. Aug 31, 2009. 10 days to go. not that I'm counting? Today I worked my 4.5hrs and struggled a bit towards the end. Boy,oh boy, does this boy make me tired easily. And sore- mostly in my butt bones and upper back today. Though for some bizarre reason my ribs hurt today too. And I have a headache. And have swelling and took a 2hr nap this afternoon. yikes, listen to me gripe! Must be time, right? I don't see much of a difference in the mirror- just big, big, big!

Brady has outgrown his whale tub and since he has a strong propensity to want to sit or stand constantly and is slippery when wet, I wanted to get something for him to sit up in in the big tub. I found this at a garage sale and was thrilled to spend $5 for it! Here he is inspecting his new seat. Ummm, yummy soap bubbles! Is that the sweetest little guy face? He wasn't too sure what to think- hard to move in this getup! I'm not sure I like this.

Even prior to the gestation diabetes, I had "negotiated" with my Ob/Gyn about being induced at 39wks simply because I just don't have enough time in my schedule to allow off more than a month. At least not without jeopardizing my ability to graduate on time. And since I am now on my 5th. Year of residency and have 10 months to go. I really, really, really, really wanna be done on time. Wipes sweat from brow*.
