Round the World Again. Starting December 23, 2009 we are heading out of Los Angeles for an around the world cruise on Holland America. The ship is the Amsterdam. Follow our trip and enjoy the pictures and descriptions. Thursday, May 6, 2010. WE ARE ON A LAND CRUISE. The next day we docked in Seattle and disembarked about 1/3 of the remaining passengers, including Juby and Tom. We helped them get all their stuff off the ship. We didn't really want to do anything else in Seattle. It's been a while.

Tuesday, May 26, 2009. Juneau, state capitol of Alaska. The old part is on a narrow peace of land between the channel from the sea and the mountains. Duane still has a bad cough, so we are going to the doctor tomorrow. That is what will fill a lot of our time, you know, checkups, dentists. Back to the old routine, which wasn't so bad.

Now on to Greece and Turkey. The continuing adventures of Duane and Arleen as we journey to Greece and Turkey for 36 days. Sunday, January 18, 2009. OCTOBER 28, 2008. Sunday, November 2, 2008. Yes, more ruins. Pretty tho. Now these ruins are different. This is a necropolis, city of the dead, or cemetery. There were thousands of people buried here mostly in crypts. This tomb building, we would call mausoleum, is half buried in the travertine. Caused by the hot springs. There are still some hot springs.
