Seeing that I'm back to work after 13 months at home in 2 weeks, I really should have revived this blog ages ago. Oh well. A few posts are swimming in my head, so maybe you'll get lucky and I'll actually write something. It'll probably be about Betty Draper and my similarities to her. Stay tuned. Monday, February 15, 2010. Here's my Valentine's Day cake that I didn't get made until February 15th. It's kind of a chocolate version of the "Busy Day Cake." It's a simple one layer number that's quick and easy. 1/4 cup cocoa powder. 1 teaspoon baking powder. 1/4 teaspoon baking soda. Mix dry ingrediants together. Add milk, butter and vanilla, mix. Add the egg, mix. Pour into a greased, floured 9 x 1 1/2 inch cake pan. Bake at 350 F (180 C) for 30-35 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar. My 5 year old.

Tuesday, April 07, 2009. The easy option for me would be to blame Facebook. It is. But the truth to why I haven't posted anything here since September 8th is that I've been hibernating for the past 7 months. Actually, hibernating sounds too cosy, like a long nap. More like holding my breath, afraid to move to quickly, desperate to not look back and too frozen in time to look ahead. But I am desperate to come up for air. I swallowed my panic and bought a baby outfit today. 9 weeks to go.
