BURSTING AT THE SEAMS WITH EXCITEMENT. August 10, 2015. Quite a few months ago, when I was in the midst of my Rouxbe cooking certification. And reading more and more about Engine2. And Dr. Esselstyn. And their messages for a heart healthy way of living via a plant-based diet, I heard about this ‘event’ called Plant-Stock. Just the name intrigued me let alone the fact that I have been reaping the benefits of a plant-based diets for the last 20 years. 🙂. Let me clarify, I am going to listen to and (hopefu...

There are things a BMI can’t measure
http://snacktherapy.com/2015/08/06/11207
Because snacks are cheaper than shrinks. There are things a BMI can’t measure. BMI Body mass index. A tool used by doctors to quantify health. A tool I once used to measure my unhealthy weight loss. I would calculate my BMI and feel worthless when I fell into the normal range. I didn’t want to be normal. Normal meant average. I wanted to be special. Was I now weird and different because an online calculator told me that I take up too much space? It can’t measure happiness. It can’t measure healthiness.

Ins and outs of Gunny Life. Skip to primary content. About Me, Jefe Branham. July 12, 2015. There are many things coming to mind for me right now. I love mountain bikes! That nothing is perfect. Perfection is a destination never arrived upon, it truly is the journey, the mishaps, the unexpected that are real and important. Soak in them, feel them between your toes, live and love that feeling of chaos, of being not in control. All else is an illusion of self importance. 4 thoughts on “ Special.

Race Schedule and Results. Blood, Sweat, and Beers. Rolling with it…. July 30, 2015. Bull; 0 Comments. It’s hard to believe Fiona is already almost two months old. Time has been flying by and the past couple of months have pretty much been a blur. Maggie and I are settling into a groove and Fiona is starting to get on a pretty good sleep schedule… although she still has her nights where she just wants to party and not sleep. Race in Steamboat Springs and then backing it up with a trail marathon. On Sunda...
