Dundee Dog Sports and Training is owned and run by Dog Trainers, Kenny Spottiswoode and Mandy Glendinning. Kenny and Mandy have trained dogs successfully for many years in varying dog sports. They are well known for using modern, kind and fun training methods to develop skilled and enthusiastic working dogs. Kenny is very much a Theory Based trainer and enjoys the depths of the how and the why behind dog training and behaviours.

Agility

Of all the dog sports that currently exist, agility has to be the most enjoyable of them all and this is certainly the feed back that we get from our students. We have a variety of different agility classes to suit all the different stages of dogs and students and we even have a puppy foundation class which means you can set solid foundations at the puppy stage so you are better prepared when you’re finally ready to progress to the equipment. 1 Months agility training costs £30.

Flyball

Flyball is essentially a spectator sport involving a team knockout competition. It first became popular as a sport in America and made its debut in the UK at Crufts in 1990. Two teams of four dogs compete at the same time, each using a parallel racing lane down which each dog in turn runs, clearing four hurdles in succession. Each dog then triggers a pedal on a box that releases a tennis ball which must be returned to the finish line. The fastest time to finish, wins! Flyball class start in January 2014.

It is our opinion that most people see Basic Training classes as series of military styled drills that are specifically aimed at dogs and it is for this reason that we have tried to develop a way teaching the necessary skills required for everyday purposes in the most enjoyable way possible.
