KZN Pattern Association

Over the last few years 2009/2010 there has been a significant increase in formalised pattern flying activities in KZN. This resurgence has mainly been due to the efforts and organisation of well known RC pilot, Neil Allen of Pietermaritzburg. Until recently, the KZN pattern flying fraternity has been operating on an informal basis however, on 30 January 2011, the inaugural AGM of the KZN Pattern Association was held and, amongst other things, a constitution was accepted and a committee elected.

Social/sport flying takes place on both days of the weekends as well as Wednesday mornings. Several float flying days are organised each year at Inanda dam and these events prove very popular.
