Monday, May 18, 2015. Kids keeping out of trouble. My boy is not too good with photos so I have to snatch one here and there to keep up some kind of pictorial diary of what he gets up to. At Sacs School in Cape Town, while he is completing his Engineering Masters, he works part-time as Housemaster and coaches waterpolo and rugby. Nothing better than a public holiday to get up early and have some fun in the city. 10km cycle along the Durban beachfront followed by breakfast was the way to go. Monday, August 3, 2015. Madagascar Expedition in our plane. For 9 days we flew the ocean and toured Madagascar. 35 hours of flying including 12 over the sea in our 2-seater single engine Sling Aircraft as part of a tour of 6 planes last week. The Mozambique Channel crossing was 890 kms there and the same back. We did a total of 6 flights over the sea including to the island Ile Sainte Marie and the 220km crossing of the Bay of Maputo each way. Read the full story and pics on my aviation blog at this link.

Sunday, January 25, 2015. Kate stayed in Phuket then island-hopped before crossing the mainland from west to east and again catching a ferry overnight to Ko PhaNgan. She travelled initially with Chris then continued on her own after he had to return to work in Korea. Our Chief Flying Instructor, Brad, was up early this morning to catch the Queen Mary 2 docking in Durban as part of her world tour, sailing this week along the South African coast to Cape Town. He took to the skyye in our flight school microlight CCL to take these beautiful shots. The Queen Mary 2 docked at Durban's port terminal. It's sunrise and another glorious day in Durban - our best time of the year to be flying with clear skyyes and little rain.
