Laboratory for molecular immunology. Phenotypic model of the immune response. Our work primarily revolves around generating phenotypic models. That shows how a “simple” mathematical model (two coupled non-linear ODEs) is able to reproduce many phenotypic features of an immune response, such as infection clearance (or not), memory to infection, chronic infection, etc. Phenotypic models of the immune response may prove valuable in uncovering immune cell networks.
