Lindstrom-Beckman Line: SWEDEN ANCESTRAL LOCATIONS
http://lindstrombeckmanline.blogspot.com/2011/10/sweden-ancestral-locations.html
The Lindstrom ancestry was associated with Kalmar Län (county). Kalmar Castle was the site of the formation of the Kalmar Union of 1397, a union of Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. See http:/ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kalmar Castle The Royal Kalmar Regiment was based at Hultsfred. See http:/ en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kalmar regemente. Johnson and Pierson ancestry will be covered in a separate blog. We’ll start now with Beckman ancestry, about which less is known to me than about my Lindstrom kin.

Lindstrom-Beckman Line: BECKMAN IN SWEDEN AND AMERICA
http://lindstrombeckmanline.blogspot.com/2011/10/beckman-in-sweden-and-america.html
BECKMAN IN SWEDEN AND AMERICA. On November 15, 1873, Amelia (Emily) Sophia Carlsdotter Beckman married Carl Gustaf Jonsson Lindstrom. This occurred in Galesburg, Knox County, Illinois, scene of several of my ancestral lines’ convergence. In the 1880 census of Galesburg, Emily’s sister Anna Theolinda Beckman was living with the family of Emily. Anna was a dressmaker then. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Tracing the Line Links. Lindstrom-Beckman Line: LINDSTROM ANCESTRY and DNA
http://lindstrombeckmanline.blogspot.com/2014/01/lindstrom-ancestry-and-dna.html
LINDSTROM ANCESTRY and DNA. In 2002, I visited Avlingetorp Farm, southeast of my ancestral villages of Tulunda and Mörlunda in Kalmar Län,. Testing company estimates of closeness of kinship can miss the mark a bit. A discussion of this: http:/ dna-explained.com/2013/. Sheryl and I have Identical by Descent shared segments on autosomes totaling 41.27 centiMorgans (cM) in length. Gert and I share a total of 43.85 cM. FTDNA estimates that Gert and I are “5. What are the odds of detecting kinship with a 7.

JaggerLine: INTRODUCTION
http://jaggerline.blogspot.com/2008/02/blog-post_2761.html
Just come across your blog and found it very interesting. Just starting out on Jagger side of tree, my great great great grandfather was Joseph Jagger (b. 1818) He married Mary Sutcliffe in 1838. One of his sons was George Jagger (my Great great grandfather) and he had a daughter called Remira (my great grandmother). Would be great to make contact. September 13, 2008 at 2:11 PM. Did Remira continue to live in Batley? My James Jagger lived with his Uncle Joseph’s family at the same address in 1861, ...

William Hardyman Jr. (b. Nov. 3, 1805) married Anne Rowbottom. William was a cooper. They had several children, including Hannah Hardyman (b. Sept. 1847). Hannah, a lifelong residence of Halifax, corresponded with her cousin James Jagger in Illinois. I have some of that correspondence, her will, census data, and have seen one of her Halifax residences. On December 25, 1827, Mary Hardyman (b. April 3, 1803) married John Jagger (b. 1807-1808), and these were the parents of our James Jagger.

JaggerLine: JAGGER HISTORY

About 1420, Shibden Hall (a Jagger later married into a family associated with Shibden) was built to the east of Halifax. Philip and Van Aaron kindly gave us a tour of Shibden Hall, which many of my kinfolk must have seen. The present Halifax Parish Church, associated with my ancestry, was begun in 1438, on the site of a Norman church. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Tracing the Line Links. Adams Co. Ill.
