Dylan + Dana Vaughn: September 2008
http://dylancvaughn.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
A blog about dinners, Streak and other stuff in Dylan and Dana's life. Sunday, September 28, 2008. Fruits of our Yard. Back neighbor Scotty hacked a bunch of bananas off and sent them over the fence - and one of them was yellow, soft and ready to be sampled. Here is the bunch:. It's a little hard to tell from this picture, but the bananas are small, only about 4-5 inches long. They are pretty good! Here I am peeling one of them:. For the garlic bread, we bought a regular loaf of French bread at Albertson...

http://dylancvaughn.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
A blog about dinners, Streak and other stuff in Dylan and Dana's life. Saturday, January 31, 2009. Garden: Flowering Wong Bok. We recently pulled up some of our first generation of plants from our SFG and planted some more leafy veggies. We left the Wong Bok, Chard, and Basil. The Wong Bok has been going through a pretty interesting transition the last week or so. It has grown about three feet straight up in that time and is flowering - pretty cool! Tuesday, January 27, 2009. Baking: Layered Lemon Cake.

Dylan + Dana Vaughn: First Bath
http://dylancvaughn.blogspot.com/2009/03/first-bath.html
A blog about dinners, Streak and other stuff in Dylan and Dana's life. Saturday, March 28, 2009. This morning we gave Connor his first real tub bath. His umbilical cord fell off last night, so up until then, we had just been sponging him off. We were a little nervous, as we had heard mixed reviews of how babies feel about the first real bath. I would say it was a success! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Subscribe to our blog! Subscribe in a reader.

Sauntering: September 2010
http://sauntering.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
It is a great art to saunter. Journal, April 26, 1841. Wednesday, September 22, 2010. Was That a Hiatus? Not sure how that happened — a blog gets published at least one per month for more than 7 years, then takes a 6-month hiatus. I'm happy to report that there's no dramatic or dangerous set of events that have led to this blog running silent for all spring and all summer. If anything is the root cause of Sauntering going without a voice, it's the combination of a wonder-if-this-is-sustainable.

Sauntering: Welcoming Anne
http://sauntering.blogspot.com/2009/10/welcoming-anne.html
It is a great art to saunter. Journal, April 26, 1841. Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Anne joined our family on 10/22/09 @ 1:27 AM Pacific, about 30 minutes after we checked into the hospital. Once the time came to be born, she was in a hurry. Anne @ Almost One Day Old. All are well and at home as Anne approaches one week old. 2½ year old big sister Katie. Has reacted predictably to this addition, with equal measures of cuteness and chaos. Whereas shock and life-changing awe. Oh very little one, I long to ...
Sauntering: Who Dat? Not A Saintly Cheer
http://sauntering.blogspot.com/2010/01/who-dat-not-saintly-cheer.html
It is a great art to saunter. Journal, April 26, 1841. Saturday, January 23, 2010. Not A Saintly Cheer. The New Orleans Saints. Are very much the feel-good story of the NFL these days. Displaced by Hurricane Katrina. Just four years ago, their place atop the standings this season symbolizes the resiliency of their great city. But as Andy pointed out to me the other day, Saints' fans' cheer of choice. Symbolizes something quite different. To those unfamiliar, Who Dat? Represents New Orleans because. It ev...
Sauntering: Zigzag Sunset
http://sauntering.blogspot.com/2009/04/zigzag-sunset.html
It is a great art to saunter. Journal, April 26, 1841. Tuesday, April 21, 2009. There are few benefits to working until sundown on a beautiful spring day. I was surprised last night to learn that one of those benefits is the way that the sunset bounces in a zigzag pattern down my hall. Categories: art and design. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sauntering: Art Projects for Law Students: Rejections → Grocery Shopping Lists
http://sauntering.blogspot.com/2007/08/art-projects-for-law-students.html
It is a great art to saunter. Journal, April 26, 1841. Saturday, August 04, 2007. Art Projects for Law Students: Rejections → Grocery Shopping Lists. I finally completed a small art project that I've been planning for a little over a year. During the late fall of their first year in law school, most students at my law school tend to send out about 100 letters to New York law firms, seeking summer employment. Out of the 100 letters, they'll receive somewhere between 90-100 rejections. The bad old days.
Sauntering: Introducing Catherine
http://sauntering.blogspot.com/2007/02/introducing-catherine.html
It is a great art to saunter. Journal, April 26, 1841. Saturday, February 17, 2007. On 2/13/07 @ 5:28 AM Eastern, Steph and I were fortunate enough to welcome Catherine into this world. At birth, she weighed 6 lbs. and 3 oz. We're home from the hospital and all are doing well. Over the past 48 hours, we've transformed into an assembly line of feeding, soothing, and diaper-changing. I've never felt so automated. Speaking of automation, Garfield. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Found on the internets.
Sauntering: March 2010
http://sauntering.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
It is a great art to saunter. Journal, April 26, 1841. Sunday, March 21, 2010. Lately/Unfortunately, I've found that my days are much more manageable if I start work before 7 am (My favorite aspect of this schedule is speaking with East Coasters who are calling me early in the hopes of getting my voicemail.). As I discovered last spring. Links to this post. Categories: art and design. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Sauntering (at) gmail (dot) com. Found on the internets. The bad old days. The Corner on NRO.
Sauntering: Individual Right to Bear 1791 Arms

It is a great art to saunter. Journal, April 26, 1841. Sunday, July 22, 2012. Individual Right to Bear 1791 Arms. In the shadow of the horrible, yet not shocking. Tragedy in Aurora, Colorado, I keep thinking back to my proposal on the topic back in November 2007. So long as SCOTUS is going to find that the Second Amendment is an individual right to bear arms. Let the states choose if they want to have gun rights beyond this basic backstop. November 27, 2007 Sauntering - The Right to Bear Ye Olde Arms.
