Sunday, September 25, 2011. Don't Second-Guess Your Gut. Anyone who follows me on Twitter probably witnessed my abject geek-spasm at the possibility of seeing (as Sarah Laurenson. Phrased it) a flaming schoolbus cross the sky, i.e. the UARS satellite as it flamed out in the atmosphere. Y'see, it was gonna be passing right over me. At the time it was estimated to be due to bite the atmosphere. Unfortunately, UARS proved to be a ninja satellite. No one. Saw it sneak in. That tricksy metal minx. That's beca...

Please pop by and see/say what you think! Query #37: The River. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I'm an unpublished writer- no, don't run away! I also have a master's degree in physics, some decent skills as a visual artist, and I can tell grand old stories about the days when I used to rock climb. See?

Welcome! – Short…but not always so sweet 💋
https://shortnotsosweet.wordpress.com/about
Short…but not always so sweet 💋. Happy endings are not guaranteed. Thanks for dropping in! Feel free to look around. I enjoy writing flash fiction. I’m usually very good at starting them, but the endings always present a bit of a challenge. However, I do take pleasure in not knowing how the story will end until I’m almost there. Just like life, isn’t it? These are all original short stories that I’ve penned down. Perhaps you could find yourself in any one of these situations, too. Thanks for stopping by!

Go check out the examples, and then submit your own. Http:/ www.bookthesequel.com/. 6 comments Leave a comment. Apr 27th, 2009 08:21 pm (UTC).

10 Tips on Writing Fiction – Valerie Thomas
https://valeriethomasblog.wordpress.com/2014/08/04/10-tips-on-writing-fiction
These are troubling times, indeed. 10 Tips on Writing Fiction. Disclaimer: I am completely unqualified to write this. Under my own name, I’ve written one flash fiction and one novel (that isn’t even out yet). That being said, here are my own ten rules for writing (plus one bonus rule). Your first draft is never good. But, what if? No, it’s not. I’m sorry, but you’re going to have to edit. The value of words is extrinsic. Unless they tell an interesting story or make a good point, no one will care. The ma...
