Tuesday, October 14, 2008. So I have a story to tell you. Once upon a time, a fair young maiden and her beloved ( that'd be me and my hot hubby Paul. Were sitting at their posts of communication ( emailing on our computers. As they sat there, enjoying their quiet companionship ( vegging! The beloved turned to his maiden and said, "Art there any yonder DVD's that thou might wanst? In other words, Paul was making an order on Amazon, and needed to spend $6 more to get free shipping. The Henschman (and woman): February 2009
http://henschman.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 28, 2009. God is so GOOD! So let me just say, WE'RE OKAY. But we were in an accident last night. It was pretty scary and there's soooo many ways that it could have ended differently, but, PRAISE GOD, we're both ok. So in the end we found out that the driver was heading east on the road, actually rear-ended a semi (one of those semi's that doesn't have the box part on the back, it was just the cab part). After rear-ending the semi, he then went over the center line into our lane. 4) In ...

Tuesday, February 26, 2008. Bearing all of that in mind, I gave my students a Bible quiz. One of the things we had discussed was how rules have a purpose (and a benefit). For an extra credit question, I asked them to give examples of rules (at home or at school) that have a benefit. Here are some of their thoughts (plus some side commentary from me):. Don't stick your fingers in a toaster oven. Why? So you don't get burned.". Don't run with scissors. Why? So you don't get hurt.". So I don't hurt it.".

Saturday, November 22, 2008. Hi all.I just thought this would be an appropriate time to list some things that my students are thankful for.some of them are good for laughs, some of them are just well-put! Keep in mind, these are 5th graders (10 and 11 year olds). A Christian school to go to, basketball, two nice teacers, my toys, and my sister when she puts movies on my ipod.". I'm so happy God gave me the ability to sing and spell. I sing to praise Him." AMEN! I am thankful for my dogs, Luke and Doodles...

http://henschman.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 19, 2008. Oh yeah, I forgot to add, we caught one more mouse.5 and counting. And I thought it interesting to note.when I was in the teacher's lounge last week, I noticed one of those "humane" mouse traps tucked behind the fridge.I'm partially comforted to know we aren't the only ones with mice, partially disturbed to know that the school has them too. So we're back in the full swing of school, here, and boy is January one crazy month! He's trying hard to fight off impending senioritis&#...

Wednesday, July 16, 2008. One year - New Apt! So yesterday I made a chocolate cherry cake for us instead.it was ok, but wish I'd left out the cherries.or used strawberries or raspberries instead.oh well. Plan for our lives. Yes, we know His plan is always better, but goodness gracious, it is not always easy. Paul and I are such "planners" that this has been a tremendously difficult half of a year for us as we watched our. Plan slip and crumble. This is our entryway: Yay for a coat closet! We have our new...
