3644 Smoots /- 1 Ear. Sunday, August 24, 2014. What better time to write a blog post than waiting in the Grand Rapids, Michigan airport? No, this is not the start of my glorious week long break but is actually near the end. Apparently, scheduling an hour layover in Newark was not the best idea, so I'll have to try things again tomorrow. On the plus side, I get another day on Lake Michigan and am departing Saturday evening through my home town of Muskegon and then Chicago. Everything else went better.

The Domestic Plant Trek (DPT) is one of the highlights of the LGO program, when we travel around the country with our whole class and visit the sites of our partner companies. The trip gives us an opportunity to learn more about the partner companies, and to be able to see what we’ve been learning in class applied to real-life situations. This year visited 7 different cities:. Detroit, Michigan (GM). Portland, OR (Nike). Seattle, WA (Boeing).
