Campaigning to Save the Beach. Where is the beach? Eastney beach is situated at the eastern end of the sea front –. If booked ahead online it is possible with www.megatrain.com. To get from Waterloo to Portsmouth Harbour for £1 each way. From within the city there are a number of buses. No’s 6, 7, 15, 16, 16a, 17 and 18 will take you in the right direction. Portsmouth is easily reached by means of the M27/A27. Eastney is on the south-eastern corner of the island.

Campaigning to Save the Beach. Storm Damage March 2014. The Storms of early 2014 have changed the beach a little. A lot of the shingle seems to have been washed away, leaving behind finer shingle and even some sand! The Anti-Tank block have weathered the storm well, certainly a lot better than the promenade at the far end of the beach – that’s collapsed in a couple of sections.
