Text2Mindmap would be great for linear learners. There's not much control over the end look, so it's difficult to be creative. However, that means you don't get lost in the 'making it pretty' phase. It's easier to edit than Bubbl.us. Allows for more creativity. More control over layout. Editing and correcting mistakes can be time consuming.

Can zoom in and out for different perspectives and detail. Can select the details to be visible. Needs fairly fast computer. Easy to become side-tracked. Can be time consuming. Follow my learning experiences on the course "ICTs for Learning Design", part of my Graduate Diploma in Learning and Teaching. Tuesday, 5 April 2011. Wikis as education tools - reflections. The instructions were to set up a wiki. No content or purpose was prescribed. There was a notable lack of scaffolding in this course task. Some cohorts simply created an empty space, using the application’s default template. Others changed the look and feel, but added little content. Recommended books for children.
