Friday, May 23, 2008. Last weekend we headed up to Albany for Maya's cousin's birthday party. Kyle turned five! Here's Maya in her snazzy new car seat. She outgrew the infant seat a few weeks back. Thankfully she got a decent nap in on the drive. Maya was excited to see everyone when we arrived, and she loved to look at the balloons on the mailbox. Just don't get too close! Friday, April 3, 2009. We've had a busy time lately trying to stay occupied during the cold winter months. Maya had a weekly music class that she grew to like. Her favorite times were playing with the instruments and clean up time! We also took a day and met up with the Kahns at an indoor play spot so Maya and Owen could burn off some steam. Tuesday, March 25, 2008. On Saturday we ventured up to Albany to celebrate Easter with Becky's family. Maya really enjoyed Aunt Laurie's doggie, Brody. However, she wasn't so keen on visiting with her family. Hanging with Aunt Sharon was a bust. Back in mom's arms. Grandma was ok. for a while. Aunt Mary was ok for about 4 seconds. Maya loved her cousins, though! With Kyle and Samantha:. Little babies grow up so fast! Maya's adventures in solid foods. Steamed carrots are fun! Broccoli is totally the best.

Friday, September 5, 2008. On Labor Day weekend, our friends Russ and Beth invited us to stay at their house with them and some friends on Fire Island. We couldn't wait to take Maya back to the beach and see if she liked it this time. Plus, her buddy Owen would be there and we knew she'd have a great time with him. Friday, June 5, 2009. Here's a quick re-cap of the last couple months! Maya loves to count, and she is learning her alphabet now. Her favorite letter is "W". Here she is counting and throwing her blocks:. We went to Aunt Laurie's house for Easter. Maya had a fun time playing with her cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents. Probably should have used the zoom on this one. The family! Back home, the indoor rice box helps to keep Maya occupied. Oops, am I in trouble? The poor animals seemed to be melting.

Sunday, November 9, 2008. Last month we visited an awesome orchard! Maya got to try out her new wagon. It was very crowded! Who's that little farm girl? She loved looking at all the animals. And the pretty flowers. She wanted to grab them all. There was barely enough room for her at the end of the day! We picked up pumpkins, apples, cider, and apple butter. Friday, April 25, 2008. Maya's growing up so fast. We've seen huge changes in her in the last few weeks. The outside is pretty much her favorite thing ever. If she's not outside, she's gazing longingly out the window and dreaming of her next excursion. She outgrew her bouncy seat months ago. She loves to sit on the floor and play with her toys. Here she is showing off her bottom two teeth. As of today, she officially has four teeth! The 4th one, on the top, came through yesterday. Her bib says it all!

Monday, January 5, 2009. We had a very busy few weeks. Just before the holidays we got a decent snow storm. And then it melted, just in time. Here's Maya in her cute Santa dress supplied by Aunt Molly! Immediately after pulling the hat off she asked for help putting it back on. That's a fun game we're into right now. Then it was time to leave for Aunt Kathy's house. Maya's cousins Sammy and Kyle were there too. Aunt Kathy had all sorts of fun, breakable toys within reach. Maya loved hanging out with Kyle!
