eat drink cook: April 2008

http://www.eatdrinkcook.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html

Monday, 7 April 2008. Adapted from a recipe by Hamilton's Barley. I have recently become rather addicted to the Zucchini Cranberry Barley muffins served by Good Earth. Cafes My wallet is not so addicted, so I thought I'd search online for a recipe I could adapt. I was excited to find this one, especially when I realised that the barley flour is a local Alberta product. 1/2 cup canola oil. 1 cup finely grated zucchini (1 medium). 1 3/4 cups barley flour. 3/4 tspn baking soda. 1/2 cup chopped almonds.

Sunday, February 22, 2009. I'm already a week behind! Best of the week. Dinner with good friends. My first birthday dinner at home for 6 years. Worst of the week. greendragonfly: Time flies...when you're not blogging

http://thegreendragonfly.blogspot.com/2013/01/time-flieswhen-youre-not-blogging.html

Saturday, January 12, 2013. Time flies.when you're not blogging. Two years and no posts, quite the record! Life has moved forward. Our daughter Cordelia was born in March 2012 and with two small children time to think and write is scarce. My day to day routine seems boring compared to the days when I lived overseas - what to even write about? But the desire to write burns deep, and when I come back to read old posts I generally don't feel embarrassed by my words. It's time to start writing again.

http://thegreendragonfly.blogspot.com/2009/12/2009-year-that-was.html

Thursday, December 31, 2009. 2009: The year that was. 2009 is already almost over, can you believe it? I thought I'd end the year summarising a few of the standout moments, and of course the best and worst of the last 12 months. Here's to a great 2010! Best of the year. Being home in Sydney. Living by the beach. Seeing family and friends at a normal pace, not jammed into a two week visit. Weekday lunches, often spent catching up with people. Worst of the year. No rockies, no camping, no vacation.

Saturday, June 20, 2009. Not lost. not missing. I'm sure that all my readers have long since decided that I've dropped off the face of the planet, but in reality, life has just been busy and blogging has been a victim of the lack of time. Hopefully I'll be back to the normal posting schedule very soon! Posted by Julie at 9:38 pm. Subscribe to Post Comments [ Atom. greendragonfly: 2009: Week 7

http://thegreendragonfly.blogspot.com/2009/02/2009-week-7.html

Sunday, February 15, 2009. Week 2 at work, and there's not much to report. I spent a lot of time reading, a good deal of time talking to my new boss, and a very little bit of time doing an experiment. OK, it was not so much an experiment as a PCR primer test, but it worked! Best of the week. Our first lunch guest! Doing lab work for the first time in 6 months, and not screwing up completely. Worst of the week. Discovering that it takes exactly the same time to catch the bus to work as it does to walk.

greendragonfly: 2010 in review

http://thegreendragonfly.blogspot.com/2010/12/2010-in-review.html

Friday, December 31, 2010. Once again, an appalling year when measured by blog posts. A single post here, a few more on Edward's blog, thats it. Oh well, maybe 2011 is the year to get back to it. As per last year I thought I'd post a few bests and worsts of the year, and then a few goals for the new year. Edward; his birth and watching him grow from tiny helpless baby to an increasingly mobile and independent toddler. Two great vacations, one in Brisbane and the other in NZ. Complete lack of sleep.

http://thegreendragonfly.blogspot.com/2009/03/2008-week-9.html

Sunday, March 01, 2009. This week we tried out a local restaurant called Churrasco. Best of the week. Coffee, cake, lunch with Matt, home cooked dinner (not cooked by me), lots of cards, and a surprise present in the mail! All in all, a good day. Weekday lunch with my parents - it's lovely being able to just call and make plans for the next day. The actual last physio visit :). Worst of the week. A nagging cold :(. Long hours at work for both Matt and I. Posted by Julie at 6:20 pm. Far, far, far from home.

greendragonfly: 2009: Week 6

http://thegreendragonfly.blogspot.com/2009/02/2009-week-6.html

Sunday, February 08, 2009. Last August, I walked out of the lab in Calgary, and into an adventure. This week, after almost six months of glorious unemployment, I walked into a different lab and back into the world of work. For those of you who haven't caught up on the news, I was offered a job at the University of New South Wales, and started this week. Best of the week. Morning coffee - just $2.50 and generally drunk in a lovely garden courtyard. Coming home each evening. Worst of the week.

http://thegreendragonfly.blogspot.com/2009/03/2009-weeks-10-12.html

Saturday, March 21, 2009. How quickly the weeks fly by; suddenly I'm 3 weeks behind on posting. Again! Oh well, there shall be no blog guilt, just a catch up post. Best of 3 weeks. A trip to SMH growers markets with Peta - stand out purchases were fresh apples and pomegranate balsamic. Finally going to one of Angie's jewellery parties - what beautiful things she makes! At the SCG; especially the seat in the stands which meant we did not get wet when the (two! Brunch with friends at Bellagio in Waverly.
