This morning Neil and I “slept in” until 6:30 because he seemed to have forgotten to set the alarm. Oh well it was nice not to get up at 5:30am this morning. I woke up craving almond butter though so what goes great with AB? OATS and banana of course. I also made myself some coffee with a packet of SoyGo, basically powdered soy creamer. 1T almond butter (90 Calories).

I haven’t posted in awhile and really have been made about photographing my food the past week or so. I hope to get back into the groove this week. We are headed to CT, NYC, and MA this weekend so it should be a great adventure and lots of yummy food shots. Veggie Burger with Sauteed Cabbage and Purple Potatoes. Lots of green smoothies. Breakfast- Black Coffee and a Tempeh Reuben (400 calories). Jumped on the elliptical for a quick cardio sesh- 15 minutes. Then I did some Skinny Bitch- 5x5 from the Boot Camp DVD (25 minutes). Snack was an tiny apple with almond butter (150 calories). Lunch- slaw and a few pieces of roasted kabocha squash (200 calories). Ending the night with some caramel tea.

Wednesday, April 2, 2014. Here are some more recipes to try and perhaps add to your menu planner. My niece Angie shared this recipe for homemade granola. I feel bad because she brought some for everyone to try at our sprouting class and I totally forgot. She made it without the powdered milk and it was kind of sticky but I really liked it that way. I am definitely going to make this granola recipe. 8 cups rolled oats (not quick oats). 1 c powdered milk. 1 c sesame seeds. 1 c flax seeds. 1/4 cup chia seeds.
