Just another WordPress.com site. What were you doing at 6 am this morning? Well, I was WODing it out at the gym with more than a dozen of my closest friends…. I got to the gym with plenty of time for lower body focused mobility. I have been pretty sore in strange places this week, which can easily be attributed to the change in programming. We are working different muscles, yo! Speed Squats (to 12 Box). 12 2 @ 63lbs, rest 30-45 seconds. I partnered with Claire Bear and Mama Gray and we busted these out!

Just another WordPress.com site. Quite a bit of time has passed since I posted, I know. I am not going to waste time going on and on about why that has occurred. Those close to me know why that is and that it is perfectly okay. Instead of telling that saga story, I have a much better story to tell. It is about becoming a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer. Mhm much better…. I have also told people that the course was worth every penny. The course was $1,000. That is a shiz ton of pennies. Here are my reasons:.

Survival is a Game. Monthly Archives: July 2012. No One Likes Surprises. Once again there were a lot of people at the 6am class so many had to share racks. I opted to work by myself, rackless, from the floor for no other reason than I like Power Cleans. Not much to say about these except I’m hoping to increase my press weight by a lot in the near future. I’ll figure out. Later (I’m hoping Westside helps). I attempted 125lb for my last set but that wasn’t happening. 5 Rounds for Time. 15 KB Swings (52lb).

Survival is a Game. Here we go again. Another week of Westside, but wait there’s more! Sunday was the OLY (Olympic Lifting for those who don’t know) clinic at Zeal. We had Peter Haas from CrossFit Downtown Winston leading us through Snatches, Cleans, and Jerks. What did I take away from the clinic? Overall it was a good 4 hour clinic and I feel more confident with these lifts now. All I have to do is practice practice practice form until I get it right every time. Shouldn’t be too hard. Total: 2 20 Lunges.

Still nowhere near good enough at DUs to do them so I went with Singles. Afterwards I sat in front of the fan for about 15-20 minutes to cool off.
