October 24, 2013. Hallman’s story was unbelievably sad, and heart warming. Reading about Sam and his birth defect made me realize how much of life I took for granted growing up. I didn’t really have a hard time socially in middle school or high school. I didn’t have something that made me stand out from everyone else.
