Woman About Town: A Capitol Idea!
http://nicolebradshaw.blogspot.com/2015/06/a-capitol-idea.html
Saturday, June 13, 2015. Hubs settling in at Old Ebbitt Grill. This spring, hubs and I celebrated a landmark anniversary. To mark the occasion, we headed off on a week-long trip to Washington D.C., without little man. Those of you who have kids will understand what a huge deal it is to go on a vacation without them. You feel, by turns, unbelievably free, inconsolably heartsick, and a wee bit guilty for having so much fun without them. After dropping off our bags, we headed straight for Old Ebbitt Grill.

Between Christmas and New Years, we decided to celebrate Little Bird's 8th birthday a little early by heading down to Tyson's Corner for a quick stay in a hotel with a pool. We got a great price ($89) for a room with the fun of witnessing hundreds of teenage girls swarm at their first meet-and-greet. So that both girls could get their own ears pierced! The youngest went first and didn't flinch; then big sis went and didn't do too badly either. There was a beautiful Christmas tr...

The young adult's guide to Baltimore. June 27, 2016. This weekend was fun and BUSY. My bff since first grade came to visit from New York and we had a blast with a mini-Baltimore staycation. We did a staycation. In DC last summer, and followed the same pattern this year by choosing a hotel with a rooftop pool. Backing up a bit, Friday night was low key with a frozen chicken parm meal from Trinacria. Saturday morning I woke up early for a mani/pedi followed by my favorite gyro salad for lunch at Samos.
