http://miniatureofmind.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
A collaborative blog about wargaming. Friday, 18 April 2014. Return of the blogger. It's been over 4 years since I last posted on this blog. In that time life has changed significantly (all positive! And made time for painting and wargaming very limited. Many board games have been played but not many little metal soldiers have seen action but now I hope the hiatus is over! So what can you expect from this humble blogger. Punic wars with Impetus rules in 6mm. This is the project I initially started the bl...

Miniature Minds: August 2009
http://miniatureofmind.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
A collaborative blog about wargaming. Monday, 31 August 2009. So I'm doing my artillery in two versions; limbered and unlimbered which I can swop round when they deploy or need to make a quick get-away. Limbered up and on the move (click to maximise):. Like the rest of my collection I've based these on magnetic bases, so its easy to swop the guns around and keep the limbers and teams on the table so the battery takes up a more realistic amount of space. Crews hard at work preparing their guns:. I thought...

http://miniatureofmind.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
A collaborative blog about wargaming. Sunday, 29 March 2009. Well I kept reasonably well to my shopping list only giving-in to some lovely GZG 15mm science fiction figures that they have just released and look suspiciously like these guys:. What I will do with them I am still considering, any suggestions on 15mm sci-fi skirmish games would be most welcome. Pictures of the figures can be seen here. Next post I hope to give a little review of the Impetus rules which look to be very promising. He will form ...

A collaborative blog about wargaming. Tuesday, 9 February 2010. French cavalry, beware. By Terence Wise and. The Armies of Cr. By Christopher Rothero (both from Osprey) as reference points and I am going to try and keep the colours I use quite autumnal. Miniature Minds: May 2009
http://miniatureofmind.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
A collaborative blog about wargaming. Saturday, 30 May 2009. March of the Austrians (1). As I mentioned at the end of my last post my next painting endeavour would be to complete 2 regiments/6 battalions/216 figures worth of Austrians to bring them up to strength with the French. Well this post will be the first of a few following my progress and also be a simple guide to how I paint Adler Napoleonics. Casting flaw but do tend to clean up quickly and well. I then paint the earth round the feet as this wi...

Miniature Minds: March 2010
http://miniatureofmind.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
A collaborative blog about wargaming. Friday, 19 March 2010. I haven't decided what I'll use the mini for yet (I have five more in the unit to paint)- possibly the beginnings of an Impetus army? My 15mm projects have taken the back seat for the moment as I've become reacquainted with 28mm. On a different note I just discovered the Broadsword Adventures ruleset (you can download a demo here. http://dukeofthebloodkeep.blogspot.com/2014/06/helping-hand-challenge-part-1.html
Duke of the Blood Keep. My Hobby Blog - Updates Every Monday. Monday, 30 June 2014. Helping Hand Challenge – Part 1. 8220;Last one out, shut the door”. So, the first part of the helping hand challenge. First up on the list of minis to paint was the porter. The end result was a little darker than planned but I’m still pretty happy with it. His clothing was kept deliberately muted, the only splash of colour was his blue grey booties. Overall I’m very happy with finished mini, the challenge really hel...

Duke of the Blood Keep: Workbench 02/03/15
http://dukeofthebloodkeep.blogspot.com/2015/04/workbench-020315.html
Duke of the Blood Keep. My Hobby Blog - Updates Every Monday. Thursday, 2 April 2015. Hey guys, not done a workbench update in a while, thought I'd share some of the projects I've been working on over the last two weeks. First up, how I learnt to despise painting wood grain. It started off innocently enough with these benches from Sarissa Precision. But then things got silly. Oh and this is the size of the package that arrived. 4 April 2015 at 04:36.
