My Interests: Art - Vita Bella Ranch - Clear Creek Monastery. Tuesday, September 28. A few weeks ago, the Tahlequah. Hosted a class on using natural dyes in Oklahoma. It was amazing how the simplest of resources ( ie. Onion skins) can be used to make very rich colors. We stopped into ...

The Knitting Muse: March 2010
http://theknittingmuse.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Lord, what fools these mortals be! Tuesday, March 30, 2010. Toothpaste and the healthcare bill. Me: I'm starting a campaign to keep the toothpaste and toothbrushes put away instead of left out on the counter. Love: Well, I'll have to see how the Democrats and Republicans vote on the issue before I determine whether I support your campaign. Me: It's just toothpaste. Love: But before you know it, the House will emend it to include taking out the trash, and the Senate will start talking about vacuuming.

Lord, what fools these mortals be! Saturday, February 14, 2009. As promised, pictures from the ice storm a few weeks ago. On Monday, Jan. 26, to be exact, it rained, and that rain froze. Then it sleeted. Then it snowed. Then it sleeted again. And then we couldn't get out the driveway. Stranded! So I played photographer! Northerners, especially some I know on facebook, shut up about how much worse your winters are. There's a reason I live in Oklahoma.). Lulu is rather bigger than she is. The porch at nigh...

Lord, what fools these mortals be! Wednesday, June 30, 2010. A brief period of housewifery. Lord, what fools these mortals be! Tuesday, May 04, 2010. Women should make less money than men. My dear friend L posted a link to a consciously and humorously chauvenistic article. Do you really need a physics degree to teach your children to add? Naturally, I am a well educated woman who believes that women do have the right to be educated, even if. Absolutely not. Is it possible to stay at home and read good books? Only, it doesn't work. It has long been a simple fact of our economy that it is very ve...

Echoes of Dad | ..thoughts on life downstream
Thoughts on life downstream. October 22, 2014. October, Seven Nation Army, and Having a Little Fun. My dad didn’t have a clue who Jack White is. He sure wouldn’t know any of his songs, but I think he’d have a good time listening to a bunch of goofy kids chant a White Stripes song. You see, my dad believed that you ought to have a little fun every day. What could be more fun than coaching a bunch of girls in a softball tournament while they try to start a rally while chanting Seven Nation Army? It breaks ...

book of secrets | I do not have a gentle heart
I do not have a gentle heart. 29 December, 2015. Life has a way of chasing you down, knocking you over, and then dragging you back to your feet. That’s pretty much me and where I’ve been. I have one more week before school starts up again, and I’m ready to spend a lot of it focusing on getting the spiritual aspect of things re-done. To that end, I’ve started thinking ahead, and I’ve scheduled an Imbolg ritual and blessing of waters for the last Saturday in January. What is a Priestess? 23 July, 2015.
