Tuesday, September 9, 2014. Farmer's Market Recipe of the Week: Don't Eat Your Jack-O-Lantern. Pumpkins are beginning the become regular guests at the Edgebrook Farmer's Market. Which lead me to do a little research: there are eating pumpkins and then their are carving pumpkins. Feel free to have a conversation with any of our Farmer's Market vendors, they would be happy to discuss with you which varieties of pumpkins-and for that matter any other type of squash-is best for your desired use.

http://edgebrookshops.blogspot.com/2014/09/farmers-market-recipe-of-week-raspberry.html
Tuesday, September 16, 2014. Farmer's Market Recipe of the Week: Raspberry Cream Tart. Last week at the Farmer's Market, I spied some raspberries hiding out among the veggies and plants. Thus, I was inspired to choose a raspberry recipe for the latest installment of the Farmer's Market Recipe of the week. I am a fan of the raspberry's tart and sweet flavor combination and this Raspberry Cream Tart. And as always, see you tomorrow at the market! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Farmer's Market Recipe of the Week: Stuffed Tomatoes. The wonderful owners of Chestnut Cliffs Farm, pulled me aside at last week's farmer's market and showed me one of their tomatoes. Everyday: February 2014
http://edgebrookshops.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 27, 2014. Did you know that February 27th is National Strawberry Day? Their bright red color. Their plump and juicy appearance. How they taste like summer incarnate. Soon these cold and snowy days will be behind us, the warmth and sun will return, and so will the fresh farmer's market strawberries! Sure you can currently purchase strawberries at the store, but once summer comes, nothing beats the taste of a fresh strawberry picked just hours before and bought at a local farmer's market!
