A Brief History of Edge Falls. Due to extreme drought conditions and excessive drawdown of the aquifers the falls seldom runs now. Although the creek is dry above the falls most of the time, from the pool down to the point at which Curry's Creek runs into the Guadalupe River (about 4 miles) the creek has never stopped. That is because the springs that run into the pool from the base of the cliff have never dried up.
