https://edibleoasis.net/2016/11/18/super-low-maintenance-garden
Register for a workshop. Notes from my garden. Super low maintenance garden. November 18, 2016. This year, I’m setting up a super low maintenance garden at home. With the baby arriving end of December, I won’t be out there weeding, watering or anything in January and February, yet I still want the soil to get better and also to eat some of my own produce… So how do I go about it? I’m choosing some different plants for my vege patch. Perennial spring onions / Welsh bunching onions:. These are a permanent ...

https://edibleoasis.net/2016/11/01/first-day-of-summer

It’s definitely clear that the seasons have turned and, apart a few southerly storms, it’s only going to get better. Another tradition of this season was to visit a holy tree or well. I like to think of this as an invitation t...

Bio-char workshop | Edible Oasis
https://edibleoasis.net/2016/11/01/bio-char-workshop
Register for a workshop. November 1, 2016. Biochar workshop with Richard Self, 23. October 2016 – Resumé by Kate Daniell. The day was a stunner warm sun, blue skies and no wind. A perfect day for setting things on fire (in a very controlled manner). We were very lucky to have Richard Self, an experienced biochar producer and author of biochar papers, leading the workshop. First up we started a burn of wood pellets using a TLUD micro-kiln. What an epic win-win. Everyone went home with slightly sooty hands...

Edible Obsession
Cooking up, dining in, eating out, and everything in between. Friday, May 10. We went to Charlie's L'Etoile Verte Restaurant. Very inviting entrance, and cute front porch. Cozy decor all around. The menu is handwritten every day. I think it's quite lovely. Their cuisine is very French. Ribeye Steak, grilled, cracked peppercorn sauce. One of the best steak I've had! Local Triggerfish, grilled, fresh tomato sauce. I had a tatse :) It was superb. Key Lime Pie and Creme Cramel to share. Wednesday, May 1.
