Educating Esme: Diary of a First Year Teacher. Never judge a student based on their initial actions in the classroom as there may be an entirely different story behind their small minds and bodies. Always stand up for what you believe in especially when your students are at the other end of the equation. Do what it takes for your students to learn whether it is playing dress up, having time machines , making up songs; whatever the activity is, if it helps the student understand the material, go for it.
