http://eglobaleducation.blogspot.com/2015/07/some-great-underwater-galapagos-photos.html
Sunday, July 12, 2015. Some great underwater Galapagos photos (not mine! Several smart people on our Galapagos trip brought underwater cameras. I was not one of those, unfortunately. But, a pediatrician on our second week's cruise not only had a great camera, but was fearless about diving deep to get great photos. Take a look at these he kindly sent me. A school of sturgeon which graced every snorkeling excursion. My favorite- a giant marine turtle cruising through the deep. Sea lions playing underwater.

Sunday, July 5, 2015. If you want to visit the Galapagos- some suggestions and highlights. Sunset in the Galapagos. We just spent 2 weeks in the Galapagos, on a boat, the Majestic, so that we could see virtually every island you can visit. We wanted to decide what we liked best, what the highlights are and what we think is the best way to visit the Galapagos. The Majestic, our 16 passenger boat, with catamaran in background. Albatross nesting ground on Espaniola. The Galapagos National Park Service sets ...

Friday, May 23, 2014. Southern Africa's Beautiful Birds. The Okavango Delta from our plane. We visited 3 camps in Botswana's Okavango Delta in order to see different ecosystems and check out the camps. First was Kwara Camp, a "wet" camp since it is right in the middle of the Delta where rising water in the late fall and winter fills the shallow channels and countless lagoons, creating pockets of low islands that harbor the animals until the floods recede. Rivers of the Delta. A lagoon in the Delta. Unlik...

Friday, April 25, 2014. Report on the Airbus 380. First, this is just a gigantic airplane. Our first A-380 flight was last night from Frankfurt to Johannesburg on Lufthansa. Lucky us, we were in business class, upstairs, where there are 92 business class seats and 8 first class seats, not all full. Wednesday, April 23, 2014. Packing list for Botswana. Here's what I packed, in case you need to travel lightly to this part of Africa:. 2 pairs hiking pants with zip off legs. 4 T-shirts, one long-sleeved.

eGlobal Education: Quito and environs
http://eglobaleducation.blogspot.com/2015/07/quito-and-environs.html
Friday, July 3, 2015. Back to Quito for a couple of days after 2 wonderful weeks in the Galapagos, we drove a couple of hours outside of Quito into the high mountains, to Cotopaxi National Park. Such a beautiful place. Cotopaxi is a volcano about 19,000 feet high and covered at the top by a glacier. The park itself is very high, starting at about 13,500 feet at the entrance. Hiking to shelter at 15,953 feet. The views out across the park are gorgeous, with more volcanos in every direction. The area aroun...

eGlobal Education: March 2014
http://eglobaleducation.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 21, 2014. We met with a private equity company while we were in Myanmar and learned a lot about the history and sociology of the country as well as the investment environment. When the U.S. changed its policy towards Myanmar, China saw an opportunity and moved into Myanmar in a big way, coming to dominate its economy. China was easy for Myanmar to engage with because China didn't worry about democracy or human rights, key issues for the U.S. To be successful, a company must commit people an...

eGlobal Education: November 2013
http://eglobaleducation.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 11, 2013. Night market of Mandalay. Bins of knock-off videos at the night market. Internet access in Myanmar is intermittent, so I wasn't able to send off more than one blog during our trip there. Now that we're home, I'll be adding to the blog count as I have time- but a little out of order. Plentiful vegetables and fruits. Women selling rice rolls. Mound of fried crickets. There were palmellos, oranges, limes and lemons, beautiful wild mushrooms just plucked from the flood plain by the...
