Boulder Fall Colors: Borlotti Bean Patch
http://boulderfallcolors.blogspot.com/2010/10/borlotti-bean-patch.html
Friday, October 1, 2010. Borlotti Beans, or as the seed packet spells it Borlotto, originated in Columbia and are called Cargamanto, in the USA they are known as Cranberry Beans. In Italy they are bred to have a thicker skin and are the favorite bean for Pasta Fagioli. Most of the Cranberry Beans sold in Italy come from the USA. I planted them closer than advised but they seemed to do just fine. The beans hid well under the leaves but a good soaking from the garden hose exposed the beans. This work is li...

Boulder Fall Colors: Fall Colors 2010
http://boulderfallcolors.blogspot.com/2010/11/fall-colors-2010.html
Thursday, November 11, 2010. The fall colors in 2010 lasted for parts of September, through October, and into November. Many of the trees turned colors in a variegated fashion a branch at a time. Sometimes the trees had color, green, and bare branches at the same time. I think the long warm and dry fall season confused the trees. This tree on east Valmont was the first color I saw. For a picture of this tree from '07. For the 1957 football game between Utah and Colorado. The university has tree walks.

http://boulderfallcolors.blogspot.com/2008/07/knee-high-by-fourth-of-july.html
Monday, July 7, 2008. Knee High by the Fourth of July. I thought it was time for an up-date on my summer gardening activity. It is our national holiday and corn should be knee high at this time. Not that I have anyone standing in the corn to verify visually BUT this corn is more than knee high. It's up to my waist. The corn on the east end are not quite knee high but almost. I was thinking of adding some Strawberry plants in the " flower pot. And when I read Ray's story. The onions in the " flower pot.

Boulder Fall Colors: Home Gardening
http://boulderfallcolors.blogspot.com/2008/06/home-gardening.html
Friday, June 6, 2008. Inspired by a Pete Wells blog in the New York Times Diner's Journal. To take pictures and post them with stories. I used to plant in the local Boulder Community Gardens. A number of years ago. The Candy Corn never seemed to make it out of the garden as I ate it raw. Originally my homeowners association wouldn't let us have gardens on the grounds because of what would happen when the gardeners left, who would take card of the tilled ground. Just a close up of my little babies. The pl...
