Elder Callor

Saturday, July 24, 2010. Welcome Home Elder Callor! Elder Callor's plane from Rapid City arrived in the Salt Lake International Airport at 9:54 am on Thursday, July 22. His flight was scheduled to land at 10:12, but was early. We waited for about half an hour for him to walk down the escalator. We all thought maybe we missed him somehow, but his plane was just detained on the tarmak. Congratulations and welcome home! Thanks for serving such an honorable mission! Thursday, July 8, 2010. 14 Days to go!

Elder Callor: June 2010

Monday, June 28, 2010. Week 3, Transfer 17. Wow, another week has just flown by! We have spent most of this week finishing up the preparations for the YMTC. Finally all of the invitations have been created and only a few remain to be handed out! They look VERY professional! The Burch's. Brother Burch served his mission in Japan and has retained most of his Japanese as well! Monday, June 21, 2010. Week 2, Transfer 17. Monday, June 14, 2010. Week 1, Transfer 17. Well, the first week of my last transfer. It was actually kinda lame as far as a normal week in Alliance goes. We did a lot of things, but ended up with only 12 lessons, and 9 of those were to members, and weren't really the best. That is the real bummer, that of the 12, I really only felt like maybe half of them were actual lessons. Oh well, can't change the past, but the future can be better. Anyway, we played Uno and Spoons and Kaboodl and talked about the W&...

Elder Callor: April 2009

http://www.eldernickcallor.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html

Tuesday, April 14, 2009. Elder Nick was transferred this week to Wright, Wyoming. He says that the city is small, but the field is ripe and ready to harvest! The new missionaries there already have 30 investigators. He is excited to start out in the new location! He travelled for most of the day on Monday, but was able to find a short amount of time to send an email with the new mailing address. If you need that, please just let us know here and we can get that to you! Wright doesn't have a Walmart!

Forever & For Always: National Infertility Awareness Week

http://shortymortonfamily.blogspot.com/2015/04/national-infertility-awareness-week.html

Forever and For Always. Apr 20, 2015. National Infertility Awareness Week. This week is National Infertility Awareness Week, and I felt inspired to write about our experience. Not a lot of people know our full story except for family and a few close friends. Jeff and I were married in 2004 and just after our 1 year anniversary we decided to start a family. Little did we know the road it would take us. By the summer of 2006 to 2007 we did 4 IUI’s which all failed. In 2009 we also went through LDS Family S...

Forever & For Always: First time making a quilt

http://shortymortonfamily.blogspot.com/2012/01/first-time-making-quilt.html

Forever and For Always. Jan 1, 2012. First time making a quilt. For Christmas I thought it would be nice to redo Jeff's quilt he had since he was little. I thought it would be easy since I was just going to redo the back. 4o hrs later I was able to get it finished with my mom and dads help. As you can tell it was a complete mess before, we took some of the old pieces of the back that were still in good shape and just made patches of old scrap fleece material my mom had. While we were in DC, we were able to go see the museums, Natural History, Air and Space, American History, and the Smithsonian Castle. Forever and For Always. May 13, 2010. Be careful out in the sun. I am still very young, but this can happen to anybody. They tell you things like this only happen at old age, they are WRONG. People be careful out in the sun, make sure you put on sunscreen even if there is a cloud cover. They told me that if I would have waited any longer, it could have gone through my system and caused more damage. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Adam and Tiffany- Private. Brad and Christy- Private. You are a Child of God. Friday, January 20, 2012. The Problem With Jimmer. While I've yet to witness a game for myself, I have heard plenty about the lousy play of last year's National Player of the Year Jimmer Fredette. For many, it's a little hard to believe that that same guy we were screaming at last year to "SHOOT IT! When 35 feet out from the basket, is having such a miserable time finding success in the NBA. So what's Jimmer's problem? Posted by Elder Christopher Nicholes. Elder Nicholes' Top 5.

Elder Nick's Nebraska News. Tuesday, April 17, 2012. Well I'm sure my folks can breathe a sigh of relief now by getting this email! This past weekend we got Mother Nature busting down our door with some storms and tornadoes! And from our place we could see the crazy colored storm clouds! The sirens were going off, the radio was telling everyone to take cover but it wasn't as bad as we thought. Many can back me up by saying that tornadoes have a mind of their own! Dodged a bullet there! The Banzhaf family...
