Her handling of the archaic by way of Greek myth and landscape is very rich. She would be an interesting writer for comparison with Pound, or for a paper about her work alone. February 28, 2010. Mark Halliday Reading – I don’t necessarily agree with his view on women but I agree that that is Stevens representation of them. “is one of consistent failure by Stevens to describe the female other as a fully human individual” – apparently he doesn’t see women as people capable of living on their own?
