YarninCozy: March 2010
http://theyarnincozy.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 31, 2010. I love this scarf. It is exactly like a cozy necklace wrapped around my neck. It makes a rainy spring day cheerful. This is a great pattern. Called Endless Sunrise Scarf that I would do again and again. I used some yarn from another project that is a wool-cotton blend in a dk weight. Monday, March 29, 2010. Quote of the Day. If I stitch fast enough, does it count as aerobic exercise? Friday, March 26, 2010. The pattern for the hexagons was found here. Wednesday, March 24, 2010.

YarninCozy: December 2010
http://theyarnincozy.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 8, 2010. Splurged on Yarn This Week. Had to have new yarn this week! I've been using a lot of my stash so I don't feel too guilty. A new yarn/quilt shop opened up in Lima, Ohio, and I wanted to check it out. I stopped by after my dental check up (everything's all good - such a relief after a year and a half of dentist visits to fix my teeth after a bicycle ride that ended in a face plant). I'm making cowls out of all three of these yarns. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Big Geek Knit Blog.

YarninCozy: January 2010
http://theyarnincozy.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 1, 2010. I am in the process of knitting several projects, and I would like to promise a few posts, but every time I make that commitment, I get bombarded by a round of doctor's visits. I'm not making any promises, and I know that eventually the doctors' visits will fade away, and I'll get to spend some time on this blog. I have been more successful at keeping my ravelry account more up-to-date. Check it out: My name over there is yarninmama. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Big Geek Knit Blog.

YarninCozy: August 2009
http://theyarnincozy.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 31, 2009. Although I made this in the spring, I plan on wearing this as the weather cools off. In the spirit of school starting, I thought I would post my "school clothes." This is the Split Neck T shirt for Women #257 by Diane Soucy from Knitting Pure and Simple. I made it out of Universal Yarn's Vanessa. Vanessa is a synthetic yarn that drapes so lovely. Did I tell you how much I love green? Friday, August 28, 2009. Frozen Key Lime Pie. Doesn't every cafe need a good pie recipe? I love k...

To Do Lists | Knit, Inc

So Much For Lists. St Brigid’s Day. On: February 16, 2014. I love lists. If I’m not making one, I’m crossing things off one. I’ve found that as I’m getting older and particularly with my current stressful situation, if I don’t put something on a list it will invariably be forgotten. One other thing I’ve noticed is how little I do for myself. Take for example my current list of knitting projects:. 2 Knit a vest for my Dad for his birthday on March 10. I’m off work this week (can I get a yay? I definitely ...

So Much For Lists. On: March 2, 2014. Since about last Sunday I’ve been feeling increasingly dizzy. Last week it all came to a head, so to speak. I had to walk across town to a meeting and I crossed a bridge over the river. It felt like the whole bridge was moving under my feet. I must have looked drunk, I was clinging to the rails for dear life! Driving home that day was frankly dangerous. Every time I turned a corner the whole world swung round. Phew, talk about cutting it close! About 1.2 skeins.

YarninCozy: July 2009
http://theyarnincozy.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 20, 2009. I found this pattern on Ravelry here. Here is the next dishcloth that I made for my friend. I found the pattern on Ravelry here. It was a free download, and I just thought the effect was really cool. The blue yarn is cotton, but I'm not sure of the brand. The natural yarn is Peaches and Cream cotton. Chain an odd number of stitches the width desired. Single Crochet in the second chain from the hook, and then in each stitch across row. Chain one and then turn. Big Geek Knit Blog.

YarninCozy: January 2011
http://theyarnincozy.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 3, 2011. My principle opinion is that a yarn should be fit to the project and the receiver. I like to use superwash wool or cotton acrylic (I like Lion Brand Cottonease) yarn for baby projects because these can be good yarns to knit with, they are soft to the skin, and they are washable. Baby projects made with non-washable yarn don't get used. What do you like to knit with? Saturday, January 1, 2011. Looking Forward to 2011 - Happy New Year's! What yarnin plans are you making for 2011?
