I would like to announce once and for all - I will not cast a vote for Barack Obama in 2012. It's over, kaput, done, finished. If he's on the ballot for President, I'm leaving that section of the ballot blank. But I can't vote for a guy who signed an extension of the USA Patriot Act. I just can't. So I'm done. Here's my latest attempt at banana bread! 4 very ripe (spotty) bananas. 1/3 cup melted butter. 1 t baking soda. 1 1/2 cups flour. 1 T poppy seeds (optional). Zest of one lemon, coarsely grated (optional). Preheat oven to 350 degress. Place the bananas, melted butter, egg, and vanilla in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth (about 1 minute).
