My Life With CMT. Thursday, October 18, 2012. Correction does much, but encouragement does more. " - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. I don't think that it's a secret to anyone that us CMT-er's have our days where we feel down and depressed. Gosh, sometimes it may be more than one day, or a week, or more than that. It can be normal for anybody, especially someone with a chronic illness. Well, good luck with that. I wouldn't count on a cure happening during your lifetime.". Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). My Life With CMT: My CMT Tricks
http://www.mylifewithcmt.org/2012/09/my-cmt-tricks.html
My Life With CMT. Thursday, September 13, 2012. When I read Nic's post. Every single morning, the very first thing I do before getting out of bed is put my AFO on. I have worn an AFO on my left foot since I was 15.it almost just seems like another appendage by now! When dealing with stairs, there always, ALWAYS needs to be a handrail for me to even attempt tackling a flight. Handrails on both sides are even better! So much more stable. I may keep it :). Hope today is easy for you! PS- I am going to take ...

My Life With CMT: September 2011
http://www.mylifewithcmt.org/2011_09_01_archive.html
My Life With CMT. Friday, September 30, 2011. Today was surgery day. Happy day! Zuke and I left around 8:30 this morning to make the half hour drive to the hospital. Well, it's usually a half hour drive. Thanks to the lovely construction on our exit, it took us 20 minutes to just get onto the freeway. About ten minutes after we were supposed to be at the hospital, I get a call from them making sure I was coming. LOL. Thank heaven for pain meds! All in all, I'm doing really well. I played Rock Band fo...

My Life With CMT: May 2014
http://www.mylifewithcmt.org/2014_05_01_archive.html
My Life With CMT. Tuesday, May 6, 2014. So, this blog post is a good two months past due. Honestly, my trip to Vegas seems like years ago, not just months. Life has been insane, and thrown us more curve balls than I ever could have planned in the past couple months. But that's another post that I'll get to soon. Oh my goodness, I had SUCH a blast! We bowled 2 games, and had a blast! All of the travelling and exhaustion from the day before hit me full force while at the outlet mall, and my amazing friends...

My Life With CMT: My Story
http://www.mylifewithcmt.org/p/my-story.html
My Life With CMT. Symptoms of the disease can vary greatly in severity and in when they present. Symptoms usually present in childhood or early adulthood. The severity can vary so greatly that unless an actual diagnostic test was performed, one may not even know that they have the disease. I have heard the disease compared most closely to Muscular Dystrophy, though CMT is not as severe. This was before they used dissolvable ones.), and life went on for me as a normal child for the most part. EmBRACING MY...

My Life With CMT: To Test, Or Not To Test?
http://www.mylifewithcmt.org/2012/09/to-test-or-not-to-test.html
My Life With CMT. Monday, September 17, 2012. To Test, Or Not To Test? I knew that I could not deal with the uncertainty with my own children. I am the type of person whose mind tends to immediately race to the worst case scenario in a lot of situations, and I wanted to try and avoid being the ultra-paranoid parent. I am very thankful I had him tested at a young age. He was a late walker, and also went through a period of toe-walking when he was about 3 years old. (He wanted to walk like a T-Rex! My name...
