Sherlock Holmes: The Adventure of the Illustrious Client | Character Splash
https://emilymarchman.wordpress.com/2014/03/01/sherlock-holmes-the-adventure-of-the-illustrious-client
A blog where characters express themselves. March 1, 2014. Sherlock Holmes: The Adventure of the Illustrious Client. 3 magnifying glasses–There really wasn’t a mystery, and the only way Sherlock was able to win was by stealing, so there wasn’t any real mystery to solve. Tricking Watson was the only thing that saved it. The smart villain. The worst villains are always geniuses, but the good guys always seem to win in the end! This entry was posted in Classics Challenge. And tagged Classic Literature.
Sherlock Holmes: “The Adventure of the Cardboard Box” | Character Splash

A blog where characters express themselves. January 4, 2014. Sherlock Holmes: “The Adventure of the Cardboard Box”. 4 magnifying glasses. It was interesting, but dragged on a little long. Mistaken identity due to close (sibling) relation. Detectives/Police seem to frequently get on the wrong track just because of something as simple and common as having a sibling. This entry was posted in Classics Challenge. And tagged Classic Literature. Sir arthur conan doyle. The adventure of the cardboard box. Send t...

A blog where characters express themselves. January 11, 2014. Sherlock Holmes: The Adventure of the Bruce-Partington Plans. 45 magnifying glasses. Was good. The only thing lowering the score for me was the stuff with the papers/politics (see next section). I’m starting to get tired of these stolen government papers stories. Sherlock doesn’t care about politics or government papers, which I’m glad of. I just wish he’d stop taking cases about them. This entry was posted in Classics Challenge. Join 132 othe...
Sherlock Holmes: “The Disappearance of Lady Frances Carfax” | Character Splash

A blog where characters express themselves. February 1, 2014. Sherlock Holmes: “The Disappearance of Lady Frances Carfax”. 25 magnifying glasses. Maybe it was my state of mind, but I was bored through the whole thing. Their ideas about “wandering women” didn’t help. The fake bad guy. Watson is convinced that the big ugly, savage looking guy is the bad guy, but it turns out he’s their ally. In a well-constructed mystery, the villain should never be the obvious guy. And tagged Classic Literature. Get every...

Page-A-Day Challenge: Day 1 | Jessie's Writing
https://jessiewriting.wordpress.com/2010/05/15/page-a-day-challenge-day-1
Could be the answer to What's she doing? Or Where is she? Or even What is this? Page-A-Day Challenge: Day 1. I announced in my last post that I would be participating in Weronika Janczuk’s Page-A-Day Challenge. I had forgotten that today was the beginning of the challenge until I saw Weronika’s blog post this morning about it. I very nearly backed out (on Day 1, no less! By Daphne du Maurier; in an homage to her glorious book, I am writing a book loosely based on the same storyline, but it takes place in...
