A little bit of everything: May 2014

http://emma-alittlebitofeverything.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html

A little bit of everything. A little bit of everything. Saturday, 31 May 2014. Mad dogs and Englishwomen stitching in the midday sun. Finally an opportunity to do a little stitching outside in the sun, a lovely breeze keeping the midges away. Only 7 pics this post, I'm giving you a rest after last time ;). This mug was given to me as a present by my Youngest a couple of years ago, he has no idea how touched I was! All together; a suggestion. Saturday, 10 May 2014. The Wedding and some blog buddies. Just ...

A little bit of everything: April 2014

http://emma-alittlebitofeverything.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html

A little bit of everything. A little bit of everything. Sunday, 20 April 2014. I'm almost there with my bits and pieces for The Wedding but first a couple of pics from the workshop I gave a couple of weeks ago. Beautiful pieces from 6 lovely ladies from experienced to absolute beginners. I was delighted with my students work. To justify making myself a Cuff for the Wedding I made these, above and below for the studio. Very helpful article in workshop on the web. Can't remember which year. Wenn ich am mee...

A little bit of everything: March 2015

http://emma-alittlebitofeverything.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html

A little bit of everything. A little bit of everything. Saturday, 28 March 2015. I love expressing myself ( or trying to) by slapping paint, fabric and stitches about but I sometimes feel a little guilty that it might be considered occasionally to be a frivolous pursuit. So I was delighted to be asked by one of my customers to make her a functional, useful and well, worthy, padded gauntlet to protect her Ulna bone when playing the guitar . Do leave me a comment so I can visit you at yours. Above is a nar...

A little bit of everything: December 2014

http://emma-alittlebitofeverything.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html

A little bit of everything. A little bit of everything. Friday, 5 December 2014. Where have all the leaves gone? It's amazing the time passing thing, one minute you've got your nose to the summer season grind, the next you look up and all the leaves have gone and there's a sugar dusting of snow on the hills. That's why it's so important to look up occasionally.so I do. I so wanted to be involved in the Workshop on the Web. More reason not to make a sketchbook. At last, a real day off no pressures at all!

A little bit of everything: Permission to write

http://emma-alittlebitofeverything.blogspot.com/2015/06/permission-to-write.html

A little bit of everything. A little bit of everything. Wednesday, 24 June 2015. I've been thinking about this for a long time but I've finally given myself permission to actually write! I'm having a wonderful week with my parents visiting - no mean feat while struggling with AMD (age related macular degeneration) and continuing (3m) neuralgic pain caused by shingles on the scalp and that's just my poor Mum! I'm enjoying playing with Gwen Hedley's. I enjoyed a workshop with Aileen Grant. Where we spent a...

Secret Sheep: March 2012

http://secret-sheep.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html

Wednesday, 21 March 2012. To the owner of a well-respected yarn business:. Thankyou for your reply. As an ex-Ebay seller with many thousands of sales under my belt, I. Absolutely agree, that it is extremely rare for a package to genuinely. Go missing. It is usually the fault of the receiver, when they forget. To change an address, or neglect to pick up a package from the. Delivery office. I can rule out both of these possibilities. Never did. A package go missing twice, as of course, one would take the.

Secret Sheep: August 2011

http://secret-sheep.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html

Wednesday, 31 August 2011. Here is what the Bramleys became. Bramley apple and cinnamon crunch cake. I used honey instead of sugar, which I've been doing in all my baking recently. It's yummy. Although it works well as a cake, it would also be perfect with custard or icecream as suggested. Or.ooohhh.clotted cream! Links to this post. Tuesday, 30 August 2011. The Bramleys are starting to fall so I'm collecting them a few at a time. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Hello My name is Sarah&#46...

Secret Sheep: January 2012

http://secret-sheep.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html

Wednesday, 18 January 2012. WIP dangerously close to completion. After all that work to make a horizontal cabled border panel, I undid it. It didn't hang right and it was too heavy for the poncho. So I simply knitted 6 rows of garter stitch and I'm now adding the tassels. I even cut through the border to try to get it to hang right, and it must have taken 10 or more tries to get the front point right. Oh well, it was all good experience. Maybe it will be a FO this Friday! Find more WIPs on Wednesday here.

threadnoodle: March 2015

http://threadnoodle.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html

Playing with food, fabric and thread. Friday, 20 March 2015. I've been so unbelievably slack with posting pictures of the amazing work happening in class, so now I'm going to have to pay for it with a massive post to show what we've been doing! First, way back in January, we indulged in my favourite stitchy exercise - strips of texture, sari silks and wot-not. These were then embellished with metal bits and pieces, in the following weeks, as we got more confident stitching on metal:. You can also stitch ...

Secret Sheep: June 2012

http://secret-sheep.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html

Sunday, 3 June 2012. For a Jubilee Bring and Share lunch today. Yum. Links to this post. Friday, 1 June 2012. My visit to Wonderwool Wales resulted in meeting the lovely Anniken Allis on her stand, and buying the Mar Menor Shawlette. It didn't take long to knit, and the decorative stitches were fun and so pretty. The beads went on easily enough, and I love the whole effect. Find more Finished Objects here on FO Friday. And then she said ...: Down Memory Lane

And then she said . Saturday, November 24, 2012. Magazine. I remember when I got the first ever issue back in 1970 when I was a teenager. Where has time gone? Even more amazing I got to meet you guys in person this year. I still can't believe it. It all came about through typing words on a little screen and sending them off into cyber space. Wow! Maybe it takes them a day or two to readjust your account? November 25, 2012 at 12:58 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Uta Mooney-Mixed media Artist.

threadnoodle: Ready-made projects

http://threadnoodle.blogspot.com/2015/04/ready-made-projects.html

Playing with food, fabric and thread. Friday, 24 April 2015. A while back a group of us planned a biggy "proper" exhibition, in a gallery and everything, and I started a series of work based on one of my husband's poems. Well then the others got cold feet, so we cancelled and my work was put in a box file and shelved. Fast forward and I actually have three exhibitions coming up this year, with an urgent need for new work! Sketchbook pages ready to be stitched and bound. Painted papers for collaging ideas.

threadnoodle: May 2015

http://threadnoodle.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html

Playing with food, fabric and thread. Sunday, 17 May 2015. Running to keep up. This blog is a very good indicator of the state of my mind. I've been absent from my blog for a long while, but here in spirit. Similarly I have felt all year that I am absent from my own life: full of intention, meeting all my obligations, but not actually there in person to experience or enjoy it. Making any sense? I take random photos of things I'm doing, such as making date flapjacks. Exam season is also upon us, and as I ...

A little bit of everything

A little bit of everything. A little bit of everything. Thursday, 22 March 2018. I've had a fabulous few months, busy of course, getting ready for my second go at having a stand at The Creative Craft and Scottish Quilting Show (used to be called Creative Stitches) at the SECC in Glasgow. Was there tho along with Helen McKenna. A great selection of textile peeps, also so many beautiful quilts but guess who was too busy talking about their own work to take any pics? At last year's show I was given at the l...
