A little nostalgia for the cars of simpler times as they fade into oblivion. Monday, 10 June 2013. Fiat Uno 1983 - 1995. An Uno in its home environment, looking decidedly care worn. As I've mentioned before. Despite this baptism of fire, I remember my parents being strangely nostalgic for it. At one point I'm sure they even considering buying the car's successor, the once ubiquitous Fiat Uno. In fact, in 1994 there were around a quarter of a million Unos on Britain's roads. Not a bad number at all.

Back in 1994 when these were still being imported to the UK, there were nearly 50,000 on the road. Today you'll be very lucky to see one of the mere 36 active survivors still out there. Could you find room in your garage for one? Just to completely fox the grandchildren when they ask you what it is in 30 years time, of course.
