Writing Electronic Literature: January 2010

http://eng4081.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html

Wednesday, January 27, 2010. Meanwhile, over the weekend you are going to spend some time with Michael Joyce's Twelve Blue. Describe some of the strategies you used to "read" Twelve Blue. Indicate what you did what you hoped to achieve - and what you got out of doing whatever you did. I am hoping you will dig around in this text long enough to try out more than one strategy. Hopefully we will also have some class time to start some brainstorming for the short hypertext writing assignment. We talked throu...

Monday, April 26, 2010. The show is set. Sam has created a poster for us (which I could not manage to post on this blog) and it will be visible on campus tomorrow. I am in the process of rustling up computers so it looks like this actually might happen. Tonight - in class - you will talk through your short presentations on your work. If we get through, you can start on the reflective writing posted on the previous blog. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sample EL by Hayles genres. Wednesday, April 22.

Thursday, April 22, 2010. Wednesday, April 22. We continued to work on finishing up your final projects. Come to class Monday with your work finished enough to give a little presentation. Have the set up (introduction/overview/how it works part of the assignment) finished so we can go over it and make sure it will work for the Exhibit. We will have a rehearsal/walk through of what you will say during your presentation at the Exhibit. Have a great weekend, and see you on Monday. Sample EL by Hayles genres.

Would would you like to read more of? Anything you'd leave out? Project 1, Project2, Project 3. Appropriate criteria (did they move you deeper into your understanding of and facility creating electronic literary texts)? Need more, shorter assignments? Middle Kinngdom is an electronic literature piece that explores the concept of memories and the emotions that are shared by them. There are several perspectives to this piece . Electronic Lit: Blog #12

http://electrosoph.blogspot.com/2010/03/blog-12.html

Friday, March 26, 2010. Project #2= a lot more complex than I thought and I'm only using Powerpoint. I pretty much know what I'm doing and know what I'm trying to accomplish, I just also know that someone else would probaly get this done in half the time it's taking me. Most of my difficulty has been with the animations and the time it's been taking has made me restless. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Melissa S. Serritella. Blog #13- Project #2 Abstract. Monday, March 22, 2010. Blog #11- a REAL post. My piece for project two is generally going to allow the "reader" to sit back and relax. It's a literary work that simply requires the viewer to just watch and interpret. As previously mentioned, my piece surrounds the idea or act of procrastination and shows how it unfolds for the "undoer". Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Melissa S. Serritella. Thursday, March 26, 2015. Kindness by Yusef Komunyakaa. The misfortune of not see a smile face everyday makes seeing one more everlasting. In Yusef's poem "Kindness," highlights what kindness is and how is it signified. Though kindness can be expressed in various ways, however, we always know it is there when it appears. Hate can sometime seem opaque, but love can never be hidden. It is the action that speaks louder than the words that we speak, and kindness has no voice. What is Kindness to you? Kindnes...
