Katie's ENGL 144 Blog

Katie's ENGL 144 Blog. Sunday, April 24, 2011. I had a feeling the Physical Kids would discover Fillory. Once the main characters graduated Brakebills, I realized that The Magicians was going to be very different from Harry Potter, which primarily takes place at Hogwarts. The living arrangement that Alice, Quentin, Janet, etc. are involved in post-graduation is bizarre to me. All the kids basically do is sleep, party, eat, repeat. I cannot believe Alice died! Because Quentin failed to meet her for dinner...

So, I think we should all give Mr. Kevin Battista a mighty pat on the back for getting his 4 Lokos investigative report published on Onward State. It was a stellar paper - well-conceived, well-executed, well-structured. When he wins the Pulitzer Prize, we can all say we knew him. That will rock. For now, read his journalistic debut here.
