Dodgeball is a target sport; its main objective is to strike an opposing player out with a ball, force them out of the playing boundaries or to catch them out. Teams are on two sides of a court separated by a non-contact zone/deadzone. There are 6 on a team, they can be male, female or mixed gender teams. 3 balls are placed in the deadzone and the runners at the start compete for the balls. Cardiff Dragons are currently the only Dodgeball Club in Wales. The club was founded in 2014 with the aim of registering and competing in official UKDBA tournaments from September 2014. Club Coach is Andrew Blower who has many years experience, who after 3 successful years of Coaching with the Coventry Cobras, moved to Cardiff and set up the Dragons.
