Put A Sock In It: Musings from a House Elf: A first

http://www.englishhistory.blogspot.com/2008/02/first.html

Put A Sock In It: Musings from a House Elf. Thursday, February 28, 2008. Yesterday my students submitted their research/response papers about the book "Persuasion" by Jane Austen. For the first time ever, I had a paper submitted with the following qualifier. Me: "Has everyone passed their papers up? Student: "Jacque, you need to know that you need to smell my paper as you read it.". Student: "Smell it. You need to smell it.". Me: "What did you do to it? Student: "Just smell it.". That is a hoot! Hey, let...

Put A Sock In It: Musings from a House Elf. Saturday, April 19, 2008. Today has been a pretty special day for me, I went wedding dress shopping for the first time. I'll do my serious shopping in the States with my mother and will buy a dress there, but some of my girlfriends here took me out and we had a lovely, giggly, and girly afternoon! I found 2 dresses that I loved, but really, I found this one online and I think it's just spectacular. What do you think? Would it suit me? Posted by Jacque @ 10:40 AM.

Put A Sock In It: Musings from a House Elf. Wednesday, August 31, 2005. First day teaching went great.I love it! My one glaring mistake was forgetting about 2 class periods (one whole week) in my syllabus calendar. Woops! Otherwise all was well. Plenty of discussion and then we covered 200 years of history in the last hour in order to get the background for where we're officially starting. Phew. Thanks for all the prayers.loves. We are now a family of four! Lilypie Second Birthday tickers. Thursday, February 2, 2012. Holton Family Visit and Krissy's Wedding. My parents and my sister Jacque came to visit in early January, so we got to have Christmas all over again. The kids are young enough, it seemed perfectly normal to them to have Santa come twice in less than a month! We had fun giving each other special things this year, and we all enjoyed watching everyone open special surprises. We even did stockings all over again! Welcom...

We are now a family of four! Lilypie Second Birthday tickers. Saturday, April 7, 2012. Well, I have gotten behind - life has a way of just flying by, doesn't it? We are so blessed and life is sweet and good. The last few months have sailed by and I sometimes wish for a pause button, just so I can savor every moment with my children in each sweet phase - they are changing so fast! We are now a family of four! Lilypie Second Birthday tickers. Thursday, November 24, 2011. California Trip, Part 4 - Point Reyes and more Dillon Beach. Finally, I am posting the rest of our California trip photos. It's taken me forever because we have had lots of computer "issues" (just ask Brian)! We loved the local beach about 5 minutes from our house - really wide and great soft sand, and we pretty much had it to ourselves! Holton always loves the breeze! We had fun drawing letters in the sand. These ...

being read into poetry and prose

http://katieleigh.blogspot.com/2008/01/small-things-crimson-peppermint-candle.html

Being read into poetry and prose. By His wounds I am healed. Friday, January 11, 2008. My three weeks in Texas were amazing. Chaotic, but fun and chock-full of family and dear friends. Scrabble with Jon by the fire; chatting to Adam about his new life in Seattle; coffee with Walker; lunch at the Hickory Street cafe with Julie S. But I am back in my own cosy room, no longer living out of a suitcase, and ready for a new semester full of plans and dreams. New ACU group arriving with Cole. On Thursday; Jacque.

http://tyrannysucks.blogspot.com/2005_07_01_archive.html

Well maybe I don't care what you think either. Wednesday, July 27, 2005. I'm currently revisiting an absolutely fantastic book -. Guns, Germs, and Steel: The Fates of Human Societies. By Jared Diamond. It won a Pulitzer Prize back in 1998. Three years ago, when I was first reading this book, I had an epiphany. If the knowledge we have gained from archaeological and genetic records is accurate, the Garden of Eden as described in the book of Genesis never existed. ADDITIONAL MATERIAL, ADDED 7/30/2005].
