Stop the closure of Eastville Library - Bristol City Council

http://epetitions.bristol.gov.uk/epetition_core/community/petition/3168

Petition: Stop the closure of Eastville Library. 0 signatures on paper. Thu, 30 Jul 15. Wed, 30 Sep 15. Stop the Closure of Eastville Library. Under the proposals put forward by Mayor George Ferguson, Eastville in Lockleaze ward is the only community that would lose it’s library. Whilst libraries in more affluent parts of the city have been saved, the axe has fallen on a library which is used by residents from some of the most deprived areas in Lockleaze, Eastville, Easton, and Ashley Down.

Keep Castle Park Green - Bristol City Council

http://epetitions.bristol.gov.uk/epetition_core/view/CastlePark

Petition: Keep Castle Park Green. Sat, 5 Oct 13. Tue, 30 Sep 14. Bristol Central Area Plan. Why Castle Park is really under threat. Castle Park Users Group. As a resident of Bristol, I am dismayed at and object to the proposals in the current Bristol Central Area Plan to build on green space and to cut down some 40 mature trees in the St Mary le Port area of Castle Park and in the High St and Wine St which border it. Further, this is hardly in line with Bristol being the European Green Capital in 2015.

Petition: Bristol desperately needs more funding for additional school places. 244 signatures on paper. Frances Cope and Innes Rawlinson. Thu, 21 Jul 11. Fri, 20 Jul 12. We call on the Leader of the Council to press the government urgently to make the necessary funding available - capital and revenue - and also to support the vital work the council is doing by designating a civil servant to work with Bristol officials at the highest possible level. This petition is no longer accepting new signatures.

Stockwood Pete: A Mail Mystery

http://stockwoodpete.blogspot.com/2015/04/a-mail-mystery.html

Green perspectives on Stockwood and Bristol. Mostly. Friday, 3 April 2015. We've all seen a marked deterioration in the postal service. Higher charges, less collections, less deliveries, less staff to do the job. I think it's called 'efficiency savings'. Today, among the junk mail on our doormat, was this envelope:. Inside it was a letter we'd posted to London on 1st February. A conspiracy theorist might even believe there was more to it; a letter addressed to a radical bookshop might have less chance of...
