The Beauty Offensive: In celebration
http://beautyoffensive.blogspot.com/2007/05/in-celebration.html
A sustained attempt to bring beauty to blogging by recording those fleeting things that may otherwise go unnoticed. Thursday, 10 May 2007. Well, I got a tattooed gentleman with a chainsaw, and we had a nice if sporadic chat over cups of tea and me wafting about snipping with the secateurs in between rest times. I got raindrops today, but what I really want is sun on raindrops, very close up and poised to fall from velvet purple petals. We shall see what the weather brings. What a lovely shot! Philippa's ...

The Beauty Offensive: Express Yourself
http://beautyoffensive.blogspot.com/2009/05/express-yourself.html
A sustained attempt to bring beauty to blogging by recording those fleeting things that may otherwise go unnoticed. Friday, 22 May 2009. I thought I'd leave it a week or so before posting about my new NHS wheelchair. You know, the one that took three years getting to me. Well, it works and boy has it changed things. More than two bags of shopping. Now impossible. Then a voice said: "Get real! With a plastic cover, just in case I sell it on ebay). What I love most about my wheelchair is the newfound and t...

The Beauty Offensive: What Am I?
http://beautyoffensive.blogspot.com/2009/12/what-am-i.html
A sustained attempt to bring beauty to blogging by recording those fleeting things that may otherwise go unnoticed. Thursday, 31 December 2009. Living in a twilight world between the well and the ill I feel not entirely comfortable in either sphere. I suppose I'll settle for the fact that my health is improved, in some respects. Cure? So why am I moaning about improvement, progress, whatever you want to call it? All in all, it's been a very reformative year. And I am hugely different. Even tea wi...Ive f...

The Beauty Offensive: March 2009
http://beautyoffensive.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
A sustained attempt to bring beauty to blogging by recording those fleeting things that may otherwise go unnoticed. Wednesday, 18 March 2009. In winter the garden is alive with ghosts. Saturday, 14 March 2009. Pick Up The Phone. Every year they do it. And every year it reinforces false messages. Cut to presenters. "It's not fair, a child doing all that for their parents and not having a childhood. So pick up the phone.". Many children like Danny are indeed lonely, shunned by their classmates because thei...

A sustained attempt to bring beauty to blogging by recording those fleeting things that may otherwise go unnoticed. Wednesday, 6 June 2007. Now with added pictures. It was way past bedtime when I originally posted this last night so I've gone back to it and added a bit more waffle and some pics to show what I've been up to. Anyway, the above was taken a few yards from my mum's house. There have been a few developments since I last checked in:. One garden free of gravel just ahead of social services visit...

The Beauty Offensive: Couldn't sleep
http://beautyoffensive.blogspot.com/2007/10/couldnt-sleep.html
A sustained attempt to bring beauty to blogging by recording those fleeting things that may otherwise go unnoticed. Sunday, 14 October 2007. But I didn't mind. I picture raised borders and shady areas. After the snowdrops come white crocus and narcissi. Bugle and elephant's ears edge the pathway, along with bluebells. Under the tree there are wood anemones, hellebores and toad lilies. Later come iris, tulips and allium, foxgloves and my all time favourtie, teasels. I dream awake a lot too. This Is My Blog.
