Epiphanic Interlude: January 2011

http://www.epiphanicinterlude.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html

In an imperfect world, it all makes sense. Monday, January 3, 2011. There's a new thing I've started doing at work. Actually, it's not so new. I've just recently begun to be conscious of what I was doing. At work, we all have desks and are made to sit according to the teams we work with. Each team is separated from the others by modular partitions. My desk is at one corner of the office and from my place I can pretty much see the entire office. There are so many types actually and many a time, I fancy th...

Epiphanic Interlude: September 2009

In an imperfect world, it all makes sense. Sunday, September 27, 2009. A small world, indeed! Sometime back, I read an article in TOI in their science section. The article was a little snippet on something called "monkey malaria," some new strain of malaria that, as the name suggests, was present in a particular species of monkeys and which has now been discovered to infect humans. Reading the article got me thinking about a couple of things. Firstly, what's with the sudden spate of "animal-illnesses"?

In an imperfect world, it all makes sense. Monday, November 3, 2008. What follows is a sort of acknowledgement/congratulation/am at a loss of words to describe it, to you guys and your blogs. Tara/ Solacingrambles: I'm constantly amazed at the candid way you write. Loved the fact that after reading some of your posts, I felt normal once again and realised that many of my mood swings or weird quirks and insecurities etc were not mine alone! Loved your blog because it was so you! My favourite was "Welcome ...

Epiphanic Interlude: August 2008

http://www.epiphanicinterlude.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html

In an imperfect world, it all makes sense. Wednesday, August 13, 2008. Often when people seem to land up in what seems to be a mess, they try and brush off explaining how they landed up ending in that mess in the first place. Their excuse- "It's too complicated. You won't understand.". Well, that may be a fair accusation to make, but recently, something prompted me to wonder if things always had to take on these mammoth, 'complicated' forms? Siddhant: wow, really? Me: Quite impressive, I say. To an old f...

Mr Aamir Khan, whose recent output ranges all the way from Mangal Pandey. To Dil Chahta Hai. Wasn’t enough, he is now making people all over the country weep every Sunday through Satyamev Jayate. In Search of Sanity. I want to keep my dreams, even bad ones, because without them, I might have nothing all night long." Joseph Heller. Wednesday, April 28, 2010. Raat Bhar Bujhte Huye Rishte Ko Taapa Humnein. On one of my aimless wanderings through the blogosphere, I came across the following poem by (his holiness) Gulzar. It is less commonly known than, say, ". Raat bhar sard hawa chalti rahi. Raat bhar humnein alaav. Maine maazi se kai khushk si shaakhein kaati. Aur do jismon ke indhan ko jalaye rakha.

Friday 17 April 2009. She remembered something today, something she never knew she knew. She remembers opening a door and seeing something she shouldn't have seen. But it couldn't have been anyone else. Because the memory fit in with everything else she had learned about her reality. Maybe the burden of that secret must have been too big for her to handle. So, she forgot it. Till now. And as is usual with her, after the damage had already been done, she wishes she hadn't remembered at all. Because no...

Epiphanic Fits: How Epiphanies are Born. Thursday, April 29, 2010. I definitely missed out on a lot of stuff and would have liked to comment a lot more than I did but such is life. I was just perusing some of the blogs and I just saw that Helena made a great connection to walking to the class in the snow in the beginning and walking to class in the snow once again. Anami

That which is nameless. Friday, July 13, 2012. The Fact is, that we just need to have compassion towards eachother and ourselves. I found that I often judge myself, judging is a little different from assessing, self reflecting. Judging predisposing that you are not seperate from an action, that all actions are absolute. That we are not complex creatures, that we are not human full of " good. That in fact there is no "good" and "bad". Today I was reminded why I called my blog Anami. In that NO THING.
