First-time treasure hunter unearths 10,000 Roman coins. September 9th, 2009. An amateur metal detecting enthusiast has unearthed 10,000 Roman coins on his first ever treasure hunt. And bronze ‘nummi’ coins. From between 240AD and 320AD, were discovered in a farmer’s field near Shrewsbury, in Shropshire, last month. Finder Nick Davies, 30, was on his first treasure hunt when he discovered the coins, mostly crammed inside a buried 70lb clay pot. Rock-cut kiln found in northern Israel. Treasure hunting dest...

Fe. Fi. Fo. Happiness & Light: June 2013
http://firedaisy.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 30, 2013. My husband James and I were just discussing how great it would be if all the cities would plant trees that produced edibles. Looks like Seattle thought the same thing! I am excited that a major city is beginning to take sustainability to the level of local accountability rather than just lip service to a global agenda that really doesn't solve problems. If anything is to begin to be resolved it has to begin at the local level. Seattle has taken the first step. Friday, June 21, 2013.

So, if we ask the Government why they need all this ammo, they respond by classifying the information. This is the most transparent administration ever. I'm not a conspiracy nut, but this administration's penchant for secrecy is both confusing and damning. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Your browser does not support iframes. http://desertfinds.blogspot.com/2009/08/you-can-find-deals-on-display-items.html
Tuesday, August 25, 2009. You can find deals on display items. Yesterday, after taking my wife to dinner (with a gift card we got for her birthday) we decided to take our walk at Lowe's. We both love the hardware stores. We're watching our money (who isn't) so we wandered the aisles looking for clearance deals. We found some stuff for friends and three presents, and some 3" single wall b-vent (3' long) for about $13.00. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Your browser does not support iframes. I am the s...

Something Found: Internet of Farming: Arduino-based, backyard aquaponics
http://desertfinds.blogspot.com/2013/10/internet-of-farming-arduino-based.html
Sunday, October 20, 2013. Internet of Farming: Arduino-based, backyard aquaponics. I've been looking into aquaponics lately, and am looking to do SOMETHING and found this. I've found quite a few people on Craigslist that are giving away old fiberglass boat hulls. I think with some work, that would be better than the $120-150 that most people are asking for the 275 gallon totes these days. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
