Sunday, February 15, 2015. I love watching Addysen learning to write and sounding words out! She wrote herself this note one night and left it on the counter to remind herself to work on her math homework (JiJi) the next day "Woth JiJi toomoro aftr brekris" (Watch JiJi tomorrow after breakfast). For the 100th day of school -. I could each 100 "emanems" (M&M's). I could eat 100 "mrsh melz" (marshmallows). I could eat 100 "shtodares" (strawberries). But I could never eat 100 "roxs" (rocks).

Friday, November 20, 2009. It was exhausting and stressful but totally worth it! We absolutely love our new house! We have some work to do.mostly painting and fixing a few minor issues.but it's so fun! I'm loving decorating and planning each room. We have a while to go before we are unpacked and fully settled but it is really starting to feel like home! Pictures to come soon! Monday, February 8, 2010. Welcome, Emma Kate Vugteveen! 7lbs, 12 oz, 19 3/4 inches. Friday, January 22, 2010 at 12:41 pm. 7 days late but worth the wait! We checked into the hospital for induction around 6pm Thursday, January 21 and began the Cervadil which needed to be in place for 12 hours. After not much progress overnight, they begin pitosin around 7:30 am and broke my water. Apparently the breaking of the water was all our little girl needed to get the idea it was time to be born!

Wednesday, October 31, 2012. Trick or treating is so nice here in Livonia. Kids are always pleasant as are the parents. Each kid always says "thank you" after you give them candy and they are happy with whatever you give them. I even heard them talk about someone giving them a pencil and paper. They thought it was so cool! Trick or treating ended at just the right time. It's starting raining pretty hard. We came in changed had some chili and watched Charlie Brown Halloween! Tim, Abby and I had a great Christmas celebrating with both sides of our family and enjoying Christmas traditions of our own! Both Tim and I had time off of work (me 2 weeks and Tim a week and a half) and were able to do a lot of fun activities with Abby and get a lot of work and decorating done in the house.
