Not really. yes it has been ages since i have posted. no, i have not been a complete and total slacker in that time period, although the "day job" (which is currently a late shift) is certainly giving me less time to focus on animation. Eventually, I would like to complete this, when next i get a big enough chunk of time off from the day job. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

May 30, 2012. Sorry for the slow update, I was busy concluding school and preparing for my latest convention, VanCAF (Vancouver Comic Arts Festival), which I went to last weekend! It took place here in Vancouver, at a lovely community centre in Yaletown. Namely, this place. While I was there, I offered all my usual art, plus my brand-new print comics! Namely, these comics. Alanna, and Evin. We had some decent pub food, excellent beer, and then we talked about our respective areas over some ice cream.

Sophia Vassilakidis big, fat, greek ramblings on art and animation. Tuesday, 29 March 2011. I started out with a fairly ambitious storyline for the final piece presented on the reel, and would like to thank my instructors, Wayne Gilbert, Charles Phillips, and especially Mark Pudleiner for reigning in my 'even-the-kitchen-sink' narrative predilections and helping me decide where to judiciously apply limited animation techniques so that I could actually have a good.
