it's not about that: utahn (8 weeks)
http://merritdenison.blogspot.com/2014/06/utahn-8-weeks.html
It's not about that. I'm leaving this place in 8 weeks. EIGHT WEEKS! That means i only have 7 more weekends to kayak/canyoneer/camp/hike/backpack/stare at the mountains. that also means that i only have 50 more days to play scrabble with my parents and 50 more nights to sleep in a queen-size bed. I'm committing myself to wholeheartedly love the place where i'm at, so for 50 more days i will love utah more than any other place on earth. and then. I will learn to love ohio (but not any sooner).

It's not about that. On living like a mighty river*. These words: "so, what do you plan on doing now? Is it okay to put that question in the same category as "so, why aren't you married yet? I mean, i guess the ask-er is trying to be supportive/show interest in your life/whatever. but i would rather wear a scratchy wool turtleneck for a week than actually answer those questions. Because here is the thing i keep learning about life: plans don't always go as planned. Links to this post. On living like a mi...

It's not about that. The only thing that makes something better. Links to this post. It was this weird feeling of wanting to fling the door open after i finished my last test of my undergraduate life and shout something. but i didn't know what to say. how do you wrap up in words the feeling of finishing something you've been working towards for 24 years? Because is there even a word for overjoyed/nervous/excited/sad/nostalgic/shocked/anxious/content? I guess this is the best i can come up with:. Clothing...

Megan in China: Brisbane
http://megsinchina.blogspot.com/2010/09/brisbane.html
Monday, September 6, 2010. Brisbane has been really fun. Mostly I've followed Kristina around and hung out while she went to university. On Friday I went to her friend's 21st birthday party. On Saturday we went to Riverfire. We sat out on the grass all day, and ate and drank by the river. It was nice weather that day as well. There were lots of fireworks over the bridges on the river, which was cool. September 7, 2010 at 2:57 AM. Missing you. Hope you have a fun time in Sydney! Bali: Ubud, Candidasa, Pas...

Megan in China: June 2010
http://megsinchina.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 17, 2010. In Guiyang, this turned out to be a pretty relaxed festival- people. Ate zong zi, sticky rice wrapped in bamboo leaves, and had a few days. Off work or school. After getting Saturday and Sunday off of work, we. Had to make it up by working Monday and Tuesday. So this week has been. Pretty non-stop busy, and now were all preparing for another full. Its surprising to me how into the World Cup Chinese people have been. They are always watching football anyways. China isnt even.
